This is a big deal because it makes it easy to get the full ~2 year CP in a single card application. Apply 9/4, set statement closing date to the first of the month. Then just finish (at least) the 3k spend in December

Why? Because the card is setup so that both the individual and the business are liable for the charges. Yes, they ask for your social and they also ask for the business tax id number too. There are two sections. The application specifically says " I am liable, both individually and jointly with the Business, for payment of all balances on any account opened pursuant to this application."
Conceptually, I believe both the individual and the business are the cardmembers together....sort of like a joint credit account. Both names are listed on the card. The individual name and the entity name.
If that is the case, the terms for this bonus points offer state:
This new cardmember bonus offer is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of this business credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of this business credit card who received a new cardmember bonus for this business credit card within the last 24 months.
I think you would be disqualified for the 2nd card, because you would be considered a current cardmember and/or having achieved the bonus within 24 months.
That's how I see it, but I don't claim to be the final word on this.

I really wish that they would extend this promo to the end of the year, I will definitely apply then.
The spend isnt hard to hit, issue is more that its only a 1 year and a few month companion pass.
Rather wait and do the 60-70k deals in oct/november that always pop up, been doing this for years and havent paid for one flight for the family since 2011 as well as without dealing with the 5 card rule at chase:
Year 1 - spouse 1 applies for cards in Q4 deal, intentionally don't hit spend until January year 2. Companion pass now through end of year 3. Close cards in feb after bonus transfer.
Year 3 - spouse 2 applies for cards in Q4 deal, intentionally don't hit spend until January year 4, companion pass now through year 5.
year 5 - spouse 1 repeats in nov. and the sequence repeats.
This enables both people to not hit the 5 card flag as well as always have 1 active companion pass
How often can you claim or repeat the sign on bonus? Is it once per lifetime or x # of years?
(Other cards, like Chase Sapphire Preferred are 48 months....most are 24 months).
You can also get two SWA bonuses within 24 months if you do an individual card application and a business card application. They are considered different.

And the 24 months issue is an easy problem. you alternate with your wife on getting companion pass every 2 years and you're good, and yes, you both can work for the same LLC and each apply for business cards, alternating every 2 years.

So...if you have the exact same biz card, cancel existing card first and, ideally wait 31 days, but other people have had success with waiting less time....If your statement date close is 8/25, wait until at least 8/26 to reapply. Then, reapply and be eligible for this bonus.
If you currently have a different biz card, you likely should be able to apply as soon as you want, under the above terms re "this business card"
