Currently using it in AP mode since ATT Fiber doesn't really play that well with BYO routers and I've been too lazy to try the hacks to get it working fully. Worked fine as a full router when I was on Suddenlink.

I have a couple of ax compatible devices and looking for ax, but this one has more bandwidth than needed and want something cheaper.

Nice thing is the wifi 6 routers even help older wifi 5 devices cause of the passive antenna design upgrades, so increases in speeds and range do happen for those devices too.

I had it in IP passthrough mode for a while, but it's a double NAT setup as far as I could tell, and had the table fill up a few times. Also had issues with Xbox Live Parties and some online games. It's also another point of failure as mentioned. Haven't really noticed any differences between the two setups other than ease of use.
