Anyone have experience with the Walmart Protection Plan on a controller?

don't do the walmart plan, its a giant pain. It's not through Walmart any more, it's through Allstate, so if it breaks and you want to get it replaced you cant just go to a Walmart store, you have to call and file a claim with allstate, they have to approve the claim, and you have to mail the item in. its really stupid.

i found this out the hard way with my elite series controller, and when i called allstate, they approved the claim but said they would repair mine, as opposed to just replacing it. i never ended up sending it in because it would just break again.

Are the gen 1 accessories compatible with this controller? I elite gen 1 isn't usable with left analog drift. This seems like a nice replacement

***Just checked and the D-Padis the only thing that can swap. Paddles overlap unless using 1.. and the analog isn't compatible.

Never head of Kong. Link?
I'm pretty sure he's talking about the hall effect Kong controllers by GuliKit. I'd provide a link but not sure if its going to cause any issues with the TOS. Anyway there are now hall effect controllers that technically solves the stick drift problems. I'd personally look into those if in the market for a new controller these days.

These paddles are decent and on sale for 45% off https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...prod_image
FWIW, I have the full kit Elite Series 2 but prefer the paddles you linked to the stock ones.

what is the cost for that?
19.99 for 3 years. If you don't purchase from MS directly, you can get the warranty via Xbox support.

I wish these came with paddles.
Yeah I bought one during prime day and missed the "Core" part of the equation, no hair triggers / paddles, and no protective case. I'm fairly disappointed by this.

I very much prefer the core because you can buy the paddles in any color you want on Amazon for $12-$15. You can even get a full set with D-Pads for $18-$20. They're the same thing as the official MS ones. I ordered two sets and they work flawlessly.

I really wanted the blue. Have so many red controllers already. Price is solid though.

Purchase one through Microsoft (same price). The 3-year extended warranty is 19.99 if anyone was wondering. I couldn't figure out how to add the warranty to my cart so I just called them. Fingers crossed I didn't get a lemon.

I think I'd recommend the MSFT extended warranty, I was able to add it to the white one when there was the Verizon deal months ago. Give this link a try:https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/s...surfacetab

I don't, I don't, I don't need another elite controller but my god is the red pretty. yummyheart
I don't understand. The link mentions Microsoft surface or consoles but I don't see a controller protection plan...?

You have to call or chat with them to get it added if you don't use the MSFT Surface app. I just chatted with them and processed it entirely through the chat. I just don't recall how much it was, maybe $40 for 3 years.

Use this link and after selecting red and add to cart it will offer the protection plan. If you navigate to it using their menus it isn't offered for some reason. I used some discounted gift cards and got it a bit cheaper at MS as well.

Edit: Link is broken. To get to the link so you can add the protection plan you have to find the controller under the Xbox menu and add to cart. Go to cart and click on the controller in cart and it will take you to the page where you add red again and it will offer the 3 years for $20. Then change quantity to 1 in cart for controller.

For all the people with broken elite series 2 controllers
Haha this is exactly right. If you already have the accessories but need replacement hardware. I'm in that boat.
