Set up the ladder properly and you'll be fine. 4:1 ratio (1' away from the house for every 4' height). Make sure both bottom feet are planted and ladder is straight. If you're using an extension ladder on a soft surface like your lawn, flip the feet over to the spiked side. If climbing on the roof, make sure it extends at least 3' higher than the roofline. Take your time and move it often instead of leaning to get that last hook. If set up properly and proper precautions taken, ladders are quite safe.

Anyone know if one of these will work with a Werner?

I have another generic ladder support; will return this if that works well with my Little Giant. OP - might note that this does not work with all Little Giant ladders. The associated LG video mentioned works with articulated ladders. I've read comments saying it doesn't work with LG extension ladders (please don't rely solely on my post; I have not done exhaustive research).

I put 2 bolts with eyelet into stud and used a thick bungee cord to secure my ladders

Thank you for the heads up. I added a note and mentioned what type of ladders these work with mentioned in the video.

This one is what I use for both extension ladder and this little giant type. Make any laddar 10 times more stable. Would never go without one again.

This one is great. Had the lighter werner type and immediately returned it. Its truly professional quality and will last a lifetime. The only bad thing is when the ladder is extended the weight up high makes it difficult to maneuver. From a safety perspective this is far superior. And the standoff longer length makes it much better for painting walls.

It's wings for a ladder. So if you fall you can fly for a little while before you hit the ground. At last that's how it works on paper. Only one way to find out the truth.

Checkout the video on the Amazon page - not the shape and size of the step that this accessory is mounted to. It will give you an idea about how it will fit your ladder or not.

I have a Keller 22' multi-position ladder very similar to the LG. So ordered one and am hoping it will fit. If not, I will return it.

Got this yesterday. To my horror it doesn't fit a standard extension ladder. The rung is too is for it.
