Similar ones were on clearance at my local Walmart for $2 apiece. They use a powerful glue to hold it together, so few other birds besides the woodpeckers can get the seeds.

Finches will come in if it drizzles outside and makes this thing softer. A downpour will wash away the glue, and the whole thing will melt and fall to the ground.
