Just get a telescopic paint roller pole. They're around $20 at the hardware stores. Get a steel or fiberglass pole for this, the light aluminum ones bend too easy.
* pole not included (and wow are they expensive - $100+ !!)
I fell into the SDer statistic, WGTBBAB (Was Going To Buy But Already Bought).
It stayed in the shed cuz I got lazy in retrieve/empty, so it was just ro-sham-bo against the wife- who gets to catch the fruit below.
Laziness tends to cost 6 hours modding something, so I'll get another one so I can attach a chute at the bottom of it- now that I maybe found the right material. Tyvek is a tough lightweight material that shouldn't snag too much on branches.
Collapsible (mylar foil) dryer hose will get heavy fast. If you got an old one, can cut it into pieces for inserting into the Tyvek tube if it collapses too much.
Best is DIY sew-your-own with the right diameter and a more open lite material. The reason for openings is suction - the Tyvek may need a session with a hole-puncher if the tube collapses around the fruit, causing suction/stoppage.
At the same time, any partner (the loser) below would appreciate _some deceleration of the fruit, so slack / slope-change on the chute, drag of the chute material, etc.
I just bought this 3 weeks ago for a couple of cherry trees we have. It worked pretty good for that - wasn't perfect and brought down plenty of leaves with it, but was good enough for our needs.

1) The savings (40%) seems a bit off as Amazon shows a typical inflated regular sales price of $19.99 while Walmart shows $14.97. So in reality you save just $3!
2) If you're looking for a fruit picker for apricots, peaches, apples etc. the Corona fruit picker with extendable pole for a regular price and in-store available at Home Depot might be a better choice (don't forget your 10% veteran/military discount): https://www.homedepot.com/p/Coron.../318284444

I also have a fig tree and am wondering what I can do to get the figs on the higher branches. I thought this looked decent, on the fence about buying it.
Will this clamp tight enough to fit onto a Mr. Long Arm pole? I have an over grown pear tree I jerry rigged something together for last year, but I'd prefer not having to do that each time

I used to have that but no handle. Worked great attached to a broomstick or paint pole. Like the picture shows only held about 3 apples though.

Couldn't find lower quantity/length, but these industries should start sourcing ideas:

This would be snag-city, but may work for trees with more opening:

At this price, it's more a buy vs make, but if you can re-mix to target for your own application, I found a 3D printable option, at least from one site:

I didn't buy the pole made specifically for this. It will connect to any pole you want basically.

Maybe mod it with box-cutter blades or google "V-blades" for less effort.
