I've been a capital one customer for like 15 years. Recently, we were victims of fraud from a propery management company that takes applications fees and never responds to any correspondence. Clear as day fraud. I put 2 hours into explaining the situation to capital one through their onerous chargeback process. They denied my claim based on the company doing nothing other than providing documentation that we applied for a propery. Appeared to not even read the submission

My one and only chargeback request in 15 years and they don't even read it. Horrible customer service. I'm downgrading my card tomorrow and never using it again

Capital One is terrible. Lots of reasons to not get their credit cards:

Bonus is relatively shitty, go Chase, go Amex, go whatever, many better choices
They'll pull your credit report from all 3 bureaus. No other bank does that. Ridiculous
If you get anything wrong on your application, they will not reconsider. e.g. Spell your name wrong? You're farked. They'll tell you to reapply and re-check your credit so if you want to destroy your credit, go with Capital One.
