Had this monitor and enjoyed the image quality. However, changing inputs was a minimum of 5-7 button presses in the clunky menu system. There were also times it just became completely unresponsive to inputs.

Decent image quality but terrible firmware.
I just received this monitor yesterday from previous deal. It has crazy flickering unless you disable Adaptive-Sync (that means, no GSync) and enable MPRT. I'm considering returning it, but for the price, it's probably on par for what it is. Personally I would look elsewhere, as I spent many hours troubleshooting just to finally get it to stop flickering.
That LG monitor is a step down from this one all around. This is a quantum dot LCD panel (ie QLED) with better brightness, contrast, and color. And while the max refresh rate might be a bit higher on the LG, the GtG response time is lower on the Monoprice.

Thanks, I had a Chase offer for 5% up to $5 off and finally pulled the trigger on this one.

From having a similar VA panel, I think VA is overrated for this use case. IPS or OLED is much better.

I'm really torn between an ultrawide and a 32". I know that 32" 1440p has the same 92 ppi as a 24" 1080p which doesn't seem good on paper. I'm considering this ultrawide monitor. I mostly play fps games like battlefield, cod, star wars battlefront, halo, and I'm a bit of a try hard. And occasionally I play single player games like cyberpunk or the PS exclusives.

Ya I received mine today and the ghosting is miserable. I'm playing Forza Horizon so the world goes by quite fast and it just looks like a smeared mess. I came from a 6+ year old 24" TN panel so I thought this would be a massive improvement but honestly it's not. I will spend one more day with it but right now it's going back.

The thing I was much more concerned about, backlight bleed, is not a problem though.

No problem on my horizon 5 running at close to 100hz. Did you turn off fast response? It will be disable with HDR on anyways. And turn off vsyn is a must. I can't find another ultrawide monitor that gives me 2 dp. It's good enough for this price
