About this Game:- In this game, players take turns playing the Sheriff looking for contraband goods, and the Merchants trying to stock their Stall with the best goods. The Sheriff can inspect any bag they want, but they must be careful, as they'll have to pay a penalty if they find the Merchants were telling the truth.
- Sneak your way through! Players can bluff, bribe or even truth their way past the Sheriff. Every round, the Sheriff is played by someone new, so what works on one might not work on another.
- This new edition includes updated rules that have been cleaned up, making them easier to understand. New artwork adds fresh life to the game.
- This box set contains several expansions for the game, including components to include a 6th Merchant, deputizing players to be the Sheriff's Deputies, and the Black Market for high-risk and high-reward play.
- This fun bluffing game is made for 3 to 6 players and is suitable for ages 14 and older. Average playtime is approximately 60 minutes.

A 7.3 on BGG is quite high. The highest rating of any boardgame ever made is 8.4 - which would give Sheriff of Nottingham an 87% rating. However, it is also ranked 1496 on BGG. That might sound bad to someone who doesn't know how the system on BGG works, but it actually puts it in about the 95th percentile, or one of the best games ever made. Also, the first edition is rated even higher (478, or 98th percentile), which may just be a product of people rating the first edition whether they have the first or second edition.
So, look up some gameplay on youtube, and ask yourself, "Do I want to do this with my friends and family?"
