Each bar is scanned upon production and when scanned by the customer, is further verified by the Veriscan database. Veriscan™ is available as a creative and convenient mobile app, or as a PC software system for use with a traditional document scanner and the PAMP bullion-positioning frame.

Starting Jan 1, 2023, CA has a $2000 limit for exemption from sales on bullion. One gold bar is under the tax-exempt limit, and two qualify for no tax. Earlier this limit was $1500 since Jan1, 2009

Where do you liquidate this should you want to cash out? What kind of fees do you end up paying?

Best to just ask around. Usually someone is in the market for a couple at spot

Ive tried to liquidate physical gold recently... nowhere will even pay spot for gold eagles except a couple online dealers, and good luck trying to mail 50 grand of gold. Transaction fees on physical gold are easily 5+%
It's a fools game for sure. Normally you pay over spot, then when you sell you are going to need to sell under spot. I sure as heck wouldn't sell it online. Way too risky.

What cc gives you 4% at Costco?
I think he/she means 2% for being a Costco Executive Member and 2% using the Costco Citi Visa card.

Cool in for 2!

I wanted to buy the last round, but didn't have my Chase World of Hyatt card yet. Minimum spend complete!

I'll sell one for sure, maybe keep the other, not sure yet. I found a local guy that will pay $20-30 less than spot on an ounce which works for me. I'm just here to just break even on price since I'm hitting the minimum spend, gaining Hyatt points (30K Hyatt points is worth $750), and collecting 2% on my Costco Executive membership which amounts to $75 made here.

Pretty slick !

Thanks OP, ordered two. But does anyone know if the household member on my membership is also eligible to purchase 2 more?

You would honestly need to understand inflation to answer your question, and understand portfolio theory to understand this as an investment. Don't expect a read the headline, skip the story, answer.

You might have purchased when online retailers were not taxed without physical presence.

No one is definitely going to put all their money in gold but a little bit is a good idea in my opinion. I bought several of these in 2014 and they are worth double the value right now

Can any gold experts help...
Is it worth it to travel to Dubai to get some gold.
I only want around 10-15k usd worth.
Half would be for me the other for a friend.
Is it even legal to buy and travel with that much gold?
