Great for ppl with old Simple Choice plans (like me) who have a bunch of lines and won't be moving anywhere for a while.
A few of my family members are still on those old phones and could use something better, with new battery.
Got in on 4 phones (max on this promo) at Costco yesterday. Waived $35 activation fee + $75x4 gcs can't be beat.
Costco kiosk couldn't take trade in so I did the deal & went to a local tmo store. They refused to process trade in but printed the labels for me so I'll send the phones in (separate boxes) myself. Costco tmo rep already did all the paperwork (incl check and approved non-functional phones for trade in). He used imei on the back of these phones when they don't turn on.
If you want less hassle, just do the trade in with tmo store so they handle the shipping and such. They have the phones there to swap so no hassle of waiting either. The $35 activation fee is worth it. Can't do much about that $75 Costco gc though. Made sense for me as I'm doing 4. I'd do it in tmo store if I'm just doing one. You might also call tmo afterwards to see if you can get the fee credited, but that's more hassle. Time is money.
Glad to get rid of old junk phones. If one of these isn't used, at least it'll be trade in fodder for the next flagship phone. Looking at S24U 😁
Now looking at cases. There's a few cheap ones on Amazon from $5 to $10 with a few folio ones at a tad over that.
Is it possible to drop off at the T-Mobile store instead of shipping?

Phone boots but the bottom half of the screen doesn't respond. I tried adb to see whether I can get imei but I am unable to click on the "Allow USB Debugging" window. Bummer!
