Just leaving this comment here for the benefit of others - This is the Edge (Mediatek processor) and not the Edge + with the Snapdragon processor.

Call 833-428-1765 for Costco TMobile and you don't even have to go to the store at all. I did this deal on Sunday.

I cleared phone app data and now, the visual voicemail is working. Maybe there's a bug that it works for sometime and stops working after a while. Right now, I did another reboot and it's still working. Go figure!
Thanks, from what googlephone said it may glitch out after a few days and require a reboot to get working again. Wouldn't be a big deal for me, but my Mom would either not notice it's not working or not remember how to fix.

I ordered 3rd device yesterday at Costco and even though it hasn't been shipped yet, I see the promotion and the credits in the EIP page - https://my.t-mobile.com/eipjod

Promotion:
Smartphone Trade ID230021
Monthly credits remaining:24
Amount of monthly credit:$20.75
If I go on this https://my.t-mobile.com/eipjod it still shows monthly payments for the phone and not any eip credits.

But than I SAW THE MONTHLY CREDIT PROMO MENTIONED UNDER THIS LINK

https://www.t-mobile.com/account-activity
Promotion Enrollment
22************ is eligible for Smartphone Trade ID230021 due to an eligible purchase . Monthly credits in the amount of 20.75 will be applied over 24 months for MOT EDGE XT22051 5G 128G BLK KIT / 355********** while maintaining service & promotion eligibility. See promotion terms and eligibility rules at http://www.t-mobile.com/PromotionalOffers

Am I all set?

Even if visual voicemail doesn't work she'll still get a voicemail notification. When she clicks on it, it will dial voicemail and she can check the messages.

Well he said he was amazed by the great battery life, so I assumed he had used it. Thanks Desi for replying as well.

Edit: Thanks for mentioning the voicemail bug, that is concerning as was thinking about getting this for my Mom and she won't be happy if she misses voicemails.
No worries. But you know what's actually the most funniest thing? I really have no idea what you guys are arguing about? I haven't left a voicemail. I haven't listened to my voicemail. In about three or so years.

Do people still do that? Voicemail? Why bother. When texting is so common now

See my above comments where my concern was regarding my elderly mother. I personally hate voicemails or even talking on the phone.

Unfortunately it looks like the store nearby doesn't have a tmobile kiosk. Closest one is 3 hours away. So I suppose the next best thing is just through tmob on Twitter. I'm assuming I'll pay activation fee.. or can I still use costco by calling that number on the link?
You can call the # on the link as many had done that. But I tried that # and 4 reps wouldn't get my trade in phones to work.
With tmo via Twitter, you may be charged activation fee, but sometimes you can get it waived or credit back if asked nicely.
People like to do this deal via Costco store is because of the $75 shop card for each line

So even over the phone with Costco, I'm assuming the activation fee will waived and the $75 shop card will come?
Anyone know why some trade ins won't work over the phone? Could it be that the imei was never on Tmob and locked to a different carrier?
My only old tradein junk phone is a Nokia 635 windows phones that was an att prepaid which I used for only a month or so. I'm trying to figure out the best way to use that phone for this deal.

All I cam say is giving it a try by calling costco tmobile.
Myself tried 4 times and the reps were not helpful but in costco store only took 10 mins for doing 2 lines yesterday and today the promo and credit show up correctly under my account
Fee will be waived for sure via Costco store and via calling in, when doing it in the store yesterday, I saw there's option in the system they could pick to waive the fee...I'm sure it'll be the same by calling.
For the $75 shop card, everyone can only wait and see as it's all by saying and no actual doc showing after done the deal.
You can keep ask questions but it's the best just calling and try it yourself

Clever idea to break the screen since these phones will 100% end up in the garbage anyway; however, they looked up the lock/unlock from the IMEI which is behind the battery (yes, old phones used to have a removable battery). I'm thinking of going to T-Mobile where they can hopefully confirm that the phones are eligible for the upgrade and ask them to remove the activation cost. I'll lose the $75 times two but won't risk a $1,000 fee.
Why are you guys so worried about locked phones not being accepted..? T-mobile promo terms SPECICALLY outlines "any phone any condition" lol.

it seems like some reps via phone orders are not accepting trade in devices that are not unlocked. In store at Costco, this isn't an issue. But the phone reps are not completing the order since the trade in devices are locked

I will try over the phone tomorrow. My local Costco no longer has tmobile available. Closest store is an hour away. I have some old blackberry devices from verizon

Hmm try the online order. I can get my VZW locked phones accepted with a trade-in value of $498 when I go through the check-out process. I haven't done it online since I'll be visiting Costco kiosk.

Did this with two reps. One of them used promo 260. How will that affect things? Anyone have any idea?
