Just leaving this comment here for the benefit of others - This is the Edge (Mediatek processor) and not the Edge + with the Snapdragon processor.

Call 833-428-1765 for Costco TMobile and you don't even have to go to the store at all. I did this deal on Sunday.

I don't think it's T-Mobile. Google knows everything about you and they probably linked your fake account with real one, even if you never intended to.
Could be.
I don't know.
I checked another family member who bought the phone on the same promo, and she also had her legal name listed.

Hence I thought for the google one promo and TM supplied the payment method.

YMMV perhaps

I already have an EIP on the line (free phone from other promotion) and Costco keep telling me that I can't do another EIP for free phone.
It seems that I can have multiple EIP promos in one line.
I tried three representatives already.
Anybody in the same situation?

The Costco T-Mobile CS are probably hired off the street. They read everything from the script. In reality:
you do not have to open and use the new moto edge
the trade-in phone no need to be unlocked
In my experience you do need to put the sim in and make one call so you can easily get it unlocked in 40 days

So I played around with the new phone yesterday, using my non identifying (i.e.: made up name) google email.

To my surprise, it seems T-Mobile is sharing your REAL name with google.
Maybe for the 100gb google one trial, maybe for something else.

This is how I found out:
Open Play Store app
Click your name icon (top right corner)
Go to "settings"
"General"
"Account & device preferences"

Under the "Country and profiles", I see my real/legal name there.

This is messed up.
I used a few android phones from TM and others, and this is the only one that shows.
If you signed up for Google email on your phone, your Google email information will show up there.

You can keep them unopened

I opened one up

Have to buy some tempered glass and cases for them

Also, I sent out my trade ins. Once they accept them and the promo sticks, I will open up the others.

Check your account, the promo should be on each line already. there have been instances in previous deals that T-Mobile can remove the promo if something is wrong with the trade in.
I do see the promo on my account. I don't open brand new phones that I get form upgrades or trade inns unless I have an immediate need so that they stay brand new until I need to use them.

I got 3 of these phones back in January. Can I get more from this offer? Just want to make sure it's not the same 2023 Moto Trade P1 promo code. Also would I be able to stack another of the same phone EIP on the same line. I have read that it is possible to stack EIP as long as the service rep doesn't have a problem, but curious if it's for the same phone will cause a problem.

Diff promo. you can do another 4. Most of the rep will ask you to pay off first EIP. The only way to get around that is doing it yourself to order the phone on T-mobile site. The system will allow you with two EIPs stack. Then you'll miss the DCC fee and $75 gc.
Best way is pay off existing EIP and get the phone from costco.

YMMV, but when I went into a corp Tmobile retail store to trade my Alcatel One Touch flip phone and a Alcatel Evolve phone (https://www.amazon.com/Alcatel-On...B00NJ9ST2A), the Tmo Expert says that system won't accept these phones. Luckily, I brought a few more to test and they accepted a Motorola E4 (Sprint) phone.

Anyways, they charged me a $35 fee and plus tax, the total was like $77 (TX tax). The expert said that he needed to open the box to make sure the phone is not broken and inserted a new sim card. Hmmm....

Anyway, I was using a BYOD free line from DEC 2022 and a day later, the Moto promo was activated and it showed up in my account as a new Device benefit. I also received a text from Tmo saying the trade was a success and I will be getting credit for 24 months.

Edit:

FYI, my plan is the MM family plan, 10 lines total, with 4 paid and 6 free lines.
The system does accept alcatel flip phone or any phone with imei/meid, just that the system doesn't automatically populate the manufacturer/model/carrier and the rep need to manually select "only moto edge 230021".

Just got back from Costco, rep told me the promotion wasn't showing up for them. Probably just unmotivated to help. Anyone else care to chime in?

his question was not about unlock. Its about he has to use the new phone.
Yes for unlock, you need to use it for 40 days and paid off.

Yes, that's what confused me.

Anyway, I don't plan to use the phone as my daily device, but seeing my real name listed in the play store app bothers me.

But again, this might only happened to just a few. YMMV

This phone supports up to 30W charging. Motorola sells their turbopower 30 that will work on this. But as you mentioned any PD 3.0 will work

How could I find out ?
I'd like to test it out

Just make a burner email and log in? Where would I see if my real name is listed ?
