Many Marriott brands offer free breakfast regardless of Bonvoy level such as Fairfield, SpringHill, Residence Inn, etc. Since Covid, many have cut back on the Lounge experience or got rid of it altogether. Currently *Ambassador is the highest level but expect them to usurp that by offering a new higher level in future as part of their points dilution strategy which require you to redeem more points for a night stay. *(correction)

Gold can be worth it depending on where you stay and for how long. I got upgraded to a suite at one of the Disney Marrriott hotels last month for a one night stay. Stayed at the same property with platinum status last year and did not get any upgrade, so you never know.

Didn't the sapphire reserve already offer the gold status for one year at a time (or maybe longer)? I signed up for this benefit seemingly over a year ago and still have it. Was that benefit discontinued and now it's a worse benefit?

I have yet to experience the gold perks. Everytime i ask for early check in or late check out, there's always no availability.

Marriott went back to their old ways after temporarily changing it post spg buyout. These chains are all offenders of taking advantage of customers without offering any benefit in return.

Almost all of these perk levels are a damn sham. So many effing loop holes no matter what. The house always wins. And if expect improved customer service based on your perk status, you have been duped. You will be routed to the same offshore horseshit experience that will end in blah blah blah unfortunately there is nothing we can do. Thank you for wasting your time with us.
