This is a lot better compared to the 100-ct for $2 ground-up black tea Wavy-Nife mentioned. The best tea of course would be gently brewed using tea leaves but in term of entry level tea this is higher quality and better quality control than the 100-ct $2 box of tea bags. For this price, definitely a good deal!

I was about to say where in the world can someone buy 100+ count of twinning tea for 2$ a box and then realized they must be talking about knockoff brands. Twinnings is definitely one of the superior tea bag brands.

For that matter, you can buy all of your household goods at the Dollar Store. Actually, forget that, why not just scavenge everything out of dumpsters? There's clearly no difference in quality so just go for maximum frugality.

Not sure why you're getting down voted. The difference between Tetley and Twinings is not that significant. Good quality tea is expensive for a reason and at the budget level they aren't that different but it's an opinion. If you like it then go for the deal. That said people should experiment and experience how vastly different tea can be. It's highly recommend getting a good quality assam and a darjeeling to compare the flavors. Compare what Starbucks gives (it's pretty good these days) to the Harney and Son's that can be found in most stores and Mariage Freres which is on Amazon these days. Both have some lovely teas. Lupicia also has some lovely African CTC varieties that are milder if the assam and darjeelings are too strong for you.

Is this a deal... yes. But there's a lot more to tea that can be explored. Have fun with it.

This is Chinese black tea. Interesting. Most black tea comes from Srilanka, India, and Africa. I'll give this a try.

Is Tetley 2$ for a 100 pack? That's amazing! I've seen it price around Lipton or higher. They are okay, especially for taking with milk.

I vote Tetley much higher than Twinnings any day

Interesting discussion. I've never considered Twinings a good quality brand of tea. It's just a basic tea. In coffee terms, it's a Folgers or a Nescafe. Same as Tetley, but I know Tetley is preferred for making a cheap chai or milk and tea.

We usually steep tea with tea leaves, but if I'm in a hurry I really like the taste of these tea "sachets":
