With the Asus AXE7800 out, this router kind of becomes useless, cause the AXE7800 out performs it in every category when it comes to actual real world wireless numbers. The faster CPU and extra ram really don't do much to provide real results. The only real benefit would be the additional antennas which would help with coverage but that's not worth the extra $50 to me and probably a lot of people. My recommendation wait for the AXE7800 to go on sale for $250 like its been doing every few weeks and get that instead.

10Gb external is not worth wild, but it will be worthwild for people who have NAS boxes cause the NAS box can utilize that connection for better streaming within network and in general a huge increase of performance with read and writes.
That all being this is actually very tempting at $300 slightly faster speeds and a few extra antennas for coverage but $50 more this is a close one, I guess in looks the PRO looks way cooler.
I am going to assume this is going to get a lot cheaper in the coming months, I will hold the line, but if this hits $250 this will be a instant buy for a future mesh.

Also make sure the TM-1900AC users don't see this as they are hardcore attached that thing.
I was trying a TP Link Deco XE75 mesh Wifi 6E 3 pack for the last couple of weeks. Fastest speedtest on wifi was around 290-300 down and 25-30 up with Gig internet from Spectrum or Tmobile 5g Home internet (I have both since Spectrum goes out so often & I work from home, running through a TP Link ER605 multiple WAN router). Before the Deco, I was using a Google wifi 4 pack and the speeds were even slower, so I thought the Deco would be an upgrade, but it wasn't much.
With this single router, coverage is the same or better than the Deco mesh in and around the outside of the house, but wifi speedtest speeds are closer to 675-720 down and 65-75 up on both Spectrum and Tmobile. It is Ginormous, heavy, and runs hot, but damn! House is around 2500 sq ft, 2 story, router in the middle of the second floor. Next I am going to test the dual WAN funtionality of the Asus to see if I can get rid of the TP link ER605.
