I have used them both because my friend reviews tech products for a living and I go over and play with them. This is a much stronger processor. It also supports a desktop mode and the a54 does not. This has a glass build wireless charging and a lot more flagship features.

Major benefit to the a54 is that it's going to be updated for a lot longer.a54 we'll get Android 13 and 14 and 15 and this will probably just get Android 14. And it won't get security patches for as long.

Personally I would go with the Motorola but if I was recommending a phone to a casual user like my mom or my sister I might lean with the a54 just cuz it'll be secure for a longer period of time and they probably wouldn't make use of the flagship features like the desktop mode or the stylus.

The Motorola also has stylus support with an external stylus you can buy, an amazing desktop mode with a dock. Definitely a more premium piece of hardware

Yes this been going on for awhile in The Feb thread.

Was thinking of getting one but
Slow Moto Android upgrades, no dual sim, avg cam, large size stopped me.

Was going to get it for $50 with in store port in...but boost stores charge MSRP tax, activation fees, and higher plan... Similar to metro stores...so I didn't go that route.

Just a little review here. I received the phone on Monday and have been using it since. For $200 this phone is a steal. I am updating from a Oneplus 9 that I got last year on a Slickdeal from Best Buy for $150. The biggest issue I had was that it was only 128gb and the OnePlus 7 I had before was 256gb. This being 512gb takes away any space concerns which were a big problem before. The Snapdragon processor is top of the line and for me the Ready Now is a real game changer. I am able the phone on my desktop during work and now I don't need to use the phone itself at all for most things. It will also be great for using on vacation. I can just plug it into any hotel tv and have a desktop like experience or watch whatever I want from the phone. I was able to unlock it right away from Dr. Unlock on eBay who was recommended in the wiki. I am having the tracfone issue mentioned but I will order a new sim to have it transferred before the month of Boost is over. I also use Google Voice as my primary number so the actual service or phone number doesn't matter. No need to port my number when I switch services. I am no expert with cameras and i'm sure the cameras here will meet my simple needs. Overall this is a great deal to get a top of the line flagship phone at a great price.

Quick Question: Can you move to a cheaper plan after using the $40 service for a month by calling Boost? Has anyone had any success moving to a $25/mo plan (or less) by calling Boost? Otherwise, I might try to unlock and port out to another carrier. Thanks!

I have an unlocked Moto Edge+ 2022 and received the Android 13 update last night/this morning

Don't know if the one in the OP would receive, but why not?
Most of US variants got Android 14 updates, but no ETA time when it will be released for Boost version.

You replied to someone asking for a phone under $200. So, where are iPhones under $200?

Just the top 3 will do.
The iPhone 12 64gb has been listed at $240 on SD. The 11 was under 200 in the last.

Those iPhones have small storage, batteries, 60hz and small screens tho. I can't think of a competent iPhone priced under $200. That guy knows none exist lol.

Just start reading this thread. So what's deal for Oneplus and pixel compared to this. I need a really good phone under 200. Please provide link for Oneplus and Pixel deals.
SDs for those 2 phones are with Metro (and has 6mo hard lock).

$60 OnePlus N30: https://slickdeals.net/f/16793174-128gb-oneplus-nord-n30-5g-phone-for-metro-by-t-mobile-1-month-5g-unlimited-plan-60-free-shipping?src=SiteSearch

$90 Pixel 6a: https://slickdeals.net/f/16644218-metro-by-t-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-6a-30-days-service-new-line-90-port-in-65?src=SiteSearch

If you can wait for 6 months, these are cheaper than the $190 Moto deal.

Those are very good deals indeed. I especially like the n30 deal. Smilie. But as you said 6-month wait. And from what reviews I'm getting this Motorola edge is truly on another level than either of those two phones

Sounds like several people having problems with paypal. I would avoid. To use regular credit card. Perhaps get a virtual card if your company offers that I know Citibank that's for a few of their cards

Edge+ is the flagship phone from Moto, where the other 2 are not flagship phones.

So I am trying to figure out what to do with the two 1 month plans that I have. Has anyone tried porting out? How hard is it to get the port out PIN? I couldn't find it anywhere on the account online.

Yes. You can change plans on the Boost One app. I don't know why Boost gets such a bad rap. I've had them on my personal (non-business) phone for about 8 months, and because of the points they let you accrue on the app, I haven't had to pay a monthly fee in all that time other than the initial signup fee.

My understanding is that they need to text to you thepin so for that you may need to actually insert the boost sim into the phone and get that pin. By the way did you get it unlocked. Try doctor unlocked I've had very good experience with them they are very reasonable prices and quick response other people have said t the same
