I have used them both because my friend reviews tech products for a living and I go over and play with them. This is a much stronger processor. It also supports a desktop mode and the a54 does not. This has a glass build wireless charging and a lot more flagship features.

Major benefit to the a54 is that it's going to be updated for a lot longer.a54 we'll get Android 13 and 14 and 15 and this will probably just get Android 14. And it won't get security patches for as long.

Personally I would go with the Motorola but if I was recommending a phone to a casual user like my mom or my sister I might lean with the a54 just cuz it'll be secure for a longer period of time and they probably wouldn't make use of the flagship features like the desktop mode or the stylus.

The Motorola also has stylus support with an external stylus you can buy, an amazing desktop mode with a dock. Definitely a more premium piece of hardware

Yes this been going on for awhile in The Feb thread.

Was thinking of getting one but
Slow Moto Android upgrades, no dual sim, avg cam, large size stopped me.

Was going to get it for $50 with in store port in...but boost stores charge MSRP tax, activation fees, and higher plan... Similar to metro stores...so I didn't go that route.

Just a little review here. I received the phone on Monday and have been using it since. For $200 this phone is a steal. I am updating from a Oneplus 9 that I got last year on a Slickdeal from Best Buy for $150. The biggest issue I had was that it was only 128gb and the OnePlus 7 I had before was 256gb. This being 512gb takes away any space concerns which were a big problem before. The Snapdragon processor is top of the line and for me the Ready Now is a real game changer. I am able the phone on my desktop during work and now I don't need to use the phone itself at all for most things. It will also be great for using on vacation. I can just plug it into any hotel tv and have a desktop like experience or watch whatever I want from the phone. I was able to unlock it right away from Dr. Unlock on eBay who was recommended in the wiki. I am having the tracfone issue mentioned but I will order a new sim to have it transferred before the month of Boost is over. I also use Google Voice as my primary number so the actual service or phone number doesn't matter. No need to port my number when I switch services. I am no expert with cameras and i'm sure the cameras here will meet my simple needs. Overall this is a great deal to get a top of the line flagship phone at a great price.

My edge+ just went completely dead. It is only a week old. Put charger in, no response. Long press power. Power+vol up, power+vol down, all no respond. Plug in computer, nothing. It is not dropped or in the water. Has anyone hit this problem?
I stopped using Motorola phones about 4-5 years ago because of certain issues but their warranty service is very good. I've had 3 phones replaced promptly. Was eyeballing this deal but decided to play it safe with the Metro Galaxy S21FE deal.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would you bother? Out of curiosity, I tried watching 4-6 ads in the app across a couple of days and you basically have to spend like 1 minute per ad and all you get paid is $0.02 (2 coins) for that 1 minute. If you're watching 25 ads a day, that's only $0.50 for half an hour of your time.
when the ad limit was 25, you could watch 25 ads on both an iPhone and android together during that 30 minutes.

quick math - 25 iPhone ads + 25 android ads = 50 ads x .02 = $1 per day x30 days = $30 monthly for ads
plus login/spin wheel - .05 per day + .75 weekly bonus = $1.10 x 4 weeks = $4.40 minimum per month

totals per month with 2 phones playing = $34.40 minimum in bill credits
totals per month with 1 phone playing = $19.40 minimum in bill credits

$25 unlimited plan cost after credits = $5.60 or completely FREE with extra credits for next month bill

new totals with only 5 ads = .40 per day x 30 days = $12.00 LOSS (or $24 on 2 phones)

Moto usually sends out refurbs that are like new so I'd try to get Boost to send you a brand new one first.

I did the same thing, kept clicking on unlock thinking it would ask for the code. I didn't realize that the line was there for text input.

Tell me if I'm crazy. I'm a very happy Visible customer. Since I could get this phone before my next billing cycle, port to boost for one month, buy the unlock code, then go back to visible the next month with a new customer referral offer. Id hate to waste a month of service, but not sure if it's worth it to port twice to save $25.

I have TMobile and I use specific phone settings to use it as a wifi hotspot for my computer.

Am I better off just getting an unlocked phone? My current one is unlocked.

I bought the Moto G Stylus 5G last time when it was $50 with plan, porting out was real easy, just called boost customer service and they gave me both the account number and transfer pin, it only took a few minutes, but that is only my experience, ported out to Cricket

I purchased the unlock key off eBay from a seller before eBay suspended his account. I needed another unlock code (purchased a 2nd phone) and was able to get in contact with him for another code. He sold it to me directly and it worked great. I asked him if I could send others to him and he said it would be fine. He communicates through WhatsApp. If you want his number you can DM me.
