I have used them both because my friend reviews tech products for a living and I go over and play with them. This is a much stronger processor. It also supports a desktop mode and the a54 does not. This has a glass build wireless charging and a lot more flagship features.

Major benefit to the a54 is that it's going to be updated for a lot longer.a54 we'll get Android 13 and 14 and 15 and this will probably just get Android 14. And it won't get security patches for as long.

Personally I would go with the Motorola but if I was recommending a phone to a casual user like my mom or my sister I might lean with the a54 just cuz it'll be secure for a longer period of time and they probably wouldn't make use of the flagship features like the desktop mode or the stylus.

The Motorola also has stylus support with an external stylus you can buy, an amazing desktop mode with a dock. Definitely a more premium piece of hardware

Yes this been going on for awhile in The Feb thread.

Was thinking of getting one but
Slow Moto Android upgrades, no dual sim, avg cam, large size stopped me.

Was going to get it for $50 with in store port in...but boost stores charge MSRP tax, activation fees, and higher plan... Similar to metro stores...so I didn't go that route.

Just a little review here. I received the phone on Monday and have been using it since. For $200 this phone is a steal. I am updating from a Oneplus 9 that I got last year on a Slickdeal from Best Buy for $150. The biggest issue I had was that it was only 128gb and the OnePlus 7 I had before was 256gb. This being 512gb takes away any space concerns which were a big problem before. The Snapdragon processor is top of the line and for me the Ready Now is a real game changer. I am able the phone on my desktop during work and now I don't need to use the phone itself at all for most things. It will also be great for using on vacation. I can just plug it into any hotel tv and have a desktop like experience or watch whatever I want from the phone. I was able to unlock it right away from Dr. Unlock on eBay who was recommended in the wiki. I am having the tracfone issue mentioned but I will order a new sim to have it transferred before the month of Boost is over. I also use Google Voice as my primary number so the actual service or phone number doesn't matter. No need to port my number when I switch services. I am no expert with cameras and i'm sure the cameras here will meet my simple needs. Overall this is a great deal to get a top of the line flagship phone at a great price.

my bad

perhaps i was thinking of the 68w from the 2023
Yeah, would have been nice to get the 68w charger. The 30w is okay, but the prongs don't fold, so I actually prefer to two Anker ones I just bought as they have folding prongs and also super fast charge my S22 Ultra at 25w.

If anyone is having second thoughts about the phone and doesn't want to deal with the hassle of returning it to Boost, you can trade it in at Best Buy for a $300 gift card. I submitting the request online and went to the store. I kept the charger and USB C cable but included the box. They scanned the IMEI number, took my ID information and then gave me the gift card. Didn't even turn on the phone to check if it was unlocked (even though it was). Pretty easy money maker.
I just checked and trade in value shows $240.

sorry, I was checking the 2023 model, you are right it's $300.

How's the phone holding up for the ones who bought it ? I gifted this to my nephew who games a lot and he says phone is shit.. battery craps out in half a day, front camera stopped working...

this is my second such experience with a Motorola bought through a mvno where the quality is very questionable.. I wonder if the ones that don't pass QC get sold to these mvnos for cheap which is why they are sold for so cheap to retail customers

Too bad he is overseas and I cant even do a warranty claim

Phone is absolutely amazing. 11 hours SOT if I just power through using non stop. Or 6 SOT and 36 hours usage overall.

Came from s21. Love the Peek and other Motorola exclusive knock knacks. For 195 ish, hands down best choice. Verizon post paid, also gets UW bands at light speed, surprised, I didn't think it had those bands or they were disabled or something. But nope, they work.

Took a few days to settle after first powering it on and setting up.

Love this phone.

Motorola will warranty any legit issues, overseas or not as far as I know. *Shrugs*

Loving it. It's very fast and smooth and the battery lasts a whole day. Also Ready For is amazing, and I added a Motorola Stylus and it's a game changer

I got it on eBay for $43, Folio Case with Stylus. Yes, it's pricey but worth it for me (specially considering how discounted the phone is in the first place). It even works as an air mouse on Ready For.
I've realized this phone is more targeted for business/work use with useful features like built in document scanner camera mode. I'm not surprised that the nephew didn't like it, since I don't think a gamer is the target for this phone.
The only sad part is the lack of updates, which is something the IT dept frowns upon.

Company and deal is bogus. I've tried to get the phone twice. First time they didn't ship it and I had to file a credit card dispute. The second time they shipped it and pulled a "return to sender" midshipment.

Looks like you are blacklisted. Did you buy a lot of phones from them in the past? Or maybe had issues with the payment?

Also, with a lot of companies, filing a credit card dispute will get you blacklisted.
