It must be the older generation trimmer, possibly the one with the two batteries that was clearanced 6 months ago for $60. I highly doubt the newest generation trimmer is already being clearanced 75% off, but OP would need to share his receipt or the actual item number for verification. The other side to this coin is that this is definitely an in store deal, maybe even just that store, and the only way to verify in store clearance prices with lowes these days is by actually going to the store. If this is in fact the older gen trimmer with 2 batteries that was clearanced months ago, then this is more than likely just a witch hunt.

Tried posting a picture. Item 1137837. It was in store on cart with yellow clearance stickers. They had a dozen or so. It was the string trimmer with battery and charger. 5 year tool warranty 3 year battery. How do you add pics?

Here is the correct item link, brickseek is useless because it won't tell you price or stock, but this is definitely old leftover stock and likely to be high YMMV. Also picture shows 1 4ah battery, description says 1 2ah, which is it?

I went down and picked up two. When I left there were 3 more on a flat bed cart close to the customer service desk. Comes with one 4 amp hour battery and charger. Since the batteries/chargers are a lot more than $38 this is a real bargain.
