This camera was a fail. It was only a few grams lighter but loses the removable battery, gps, screens, and a bunch of other features. It never should have been $400 or even $300.

The sale price on the hero11 is $300 pretty regularly with included GoPro subscription, it's a better value for most to have a screen and removable battery considering the weight is barely increased. $200 is fine, the camera was still a flop for GoPro. They need to start looking at Insta360 more closely.

Reminder the hero 11 mini saves only .8 ounces and you lose gps, the screens, removable v
Battery, no hindsight, no photo mode, no webcam mode, no stereo audio, no media mod compatibility, no setting or film mode shortcuts on screen, and you are forced to use the app for many adjustments which is slow.

It is. I have both. This records so much better though. I love my mini but use it only in the most rugged situations where a screen isn't needed like for motorcycle shots, car shots with a suction cup, mountain biking, etc.

1) DO NOT FAST CHARGE GOPRO MINI 11
2) NEVER UPDATE THE CAMERA BEFORE READING WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT THE UPDARE
3) CAMERA GETS SUPER HOT BUT IF YOU PUT FAN/AC IT COOLS DOWN SUPER FAST

Also F.I.Y these do not have gps for people who cares about gps

I've owned a 3 Black, a 5 Session, two 9 Blacks, and a Max 360. I've been nothing but more than satisfied with their products as well as their customer service. When the LCD on my 5 session failed about six years after I got it, they replaced it under the GoPro Subscription replacement guarantee and waived the deductible since I'd never made a claim before. They also sent me a 9 Black in exchange since the session had been out of production for so long.

Most of the complaints I see about them come down to either user error or unrealistic expectations like, "I expected this tiny camera to record a whole day of skiing in 4k/120fps on one small battery in 10 degree weather and I'm mad because it only lasted 45 minutes." Or, "I plugged in an eternal battery pack so it could record more on my scuba diving trip and now the GoPro and the battery pack are water damaged!"

This should be the regular price. The irremovable battery is a big deal. Say if you go skiing or mountain biking for a day and the battery dies after shooting for a few runs. It's a major hassle not being able to swap out battery and continue shooting. For casual users it is probably fine.

Because they make the most advanced action cameras out there which shoot in 4k120 and 5.3k60 high resolution and now 10 bit color. Their only competition feature wise is the DJI Action series. None of the other manufacturers even come close. They release a new camera every year and continually develop accessories and incremental upgrades. There are more 3rd party GoPro accessories available than for any other action camera manufacturer. They offer custom firmware options through their GoPro labs which give total customization over bit rate, color and so much more. No one comes close. Does GoPro have issues? Sure, so does nearly every action camera manufacturer including DJI.

Usual PSA - don't forget GoPro 12 will be out in less than 2 months. Likely only a bit more than this with subscription. I wouldn't be surprised if there is Mini 12 that addresses shortcomings of the failure of a product that GoPro Mini 11 is (unless they completely discontinue it).

According to all rumors September 15th is the release date for GoPro 12. Unless you need the camera in the next month, I'd wait. I personally would also not by GoPro 11 Mini at any price due to non-removable battery.

I purchased one of these in the sale 6 months ago that offered it for $200 with the 1 year subscription. It was my first action camera and I returned it after a month of frustration. Most notably is the inability to use the app as a view finder because of some pretty horrific lag. The recorded video quality is incredible and if you understand all the short comings that have been mentioned several times already, get one. But for me, I returned it and picked up the DJI Action Camera 2 and have really enjoyed using it. Don't need an app, don't need any subscription services. I can record fantastic video and get it to my computer without any grief. It feels very polished in it's simplicity. As opposed to that GoPro app which really was not pleasant at all for me.

I have dji action mini 2. Its software ,boot up speed, app and even quality is better than Gopro. The only thing holding me now is some minor stuff which still gopro is better. I think Osmo action 4 will be the point that I'll leave gopro for good.
