I have this in 65" size and it is incredible. Everything is vibrant, it is incredibly bright and the blacks are impressive with the mini LED local dimming zones.

Not sure where you are coming up with that

rtings.com says
"The Hisense U8H is better than the TCL 6 Series/R655 2022 QLED."

Then they go on to say that the Samsung is better than the Hisense

"
The Hisense U8H and the Samsung QN90B QLED deliver very similar picture quality overall, but the Samsung is a bit better overall. "

This is a solid all around good TV
Operating systems works
You wont have to unplug it occasionally or reboot it

The TV to Tv panel uniformity also seems to be pretty consistent so your likelihood of receiving a unit with some horrible panel uniformity issues is low

Upscaling is good, black levels and brightness are good. Color , uniformity and accuracy are good

Off angle viewing is better than the overwhelming majority of LCD TV's

Their comment is based on Rtings' current number score: R655=8.5. QN90B=8.4, U8H=8.3, and that comment is pointless right now since the QN90B and U8H have been updated to the latest 1.11 Test Bench, whereas the R655 has not. Based on how the 1.11 updates have been going, and TCL's sub-par upscaling, the R655 will probably end up around 8.1-ish. https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/changelogs/1-11

I have this TV in 65' and 75'. Fantistic TV. One inside in bright room and other on patio in FL. Brightness is more than adequate for both. Check RTings link that was posted as well.
I actually just picked one up for my patio in FL, but was also considering the Hisense U8K. Any feedback on the prismatic flare from light outside? Is it bothersome or do you not really notice it in non-black content?

Edit: I did a side-by-side comparison yesterday and I'm returning the QN90B. I played with the settings to get the best and brightest picture I could from both. The Samsung did seem to have more natural color on the warm 1/warm 2 presets and it had slightly better specular highlights but I was able to improve the color on the U8K by lowering the Red and the overall brightness across the screen was better on the U8K. Surprisingly the picture went to crap at a more narrow angle on the QN90B than the U8K. I was also surprised to see to see that the U8K handled glare and reflections noticeably better than the QN90B. One weird thing that automatically disqualified the Samsung though is when you put sunglasses on (at least polarized ones) the picture disappears. I thought the TV had shut off because the screen was just black. Looking closer I could sort of see an image but barely. You may be wondering why anyone would wear sunglasses to watch TV, in which case I invite you to visit South Florida. I watch from the pool with the TV being on a covered patio. For sound, both reached a similar volume which was decently loud and neither became distorted at max volume but the QN90B had substantially better audio quality. Anyway hope this comparison helps. Note this is a very specific use case. This is for outdoors, and most outdoors stuff in S. FL doesn't apply to the rest of the country.

I just picked up a 65" QN90B last week for $903.99. They had it marked satisfactory to get it out the door, but it was as if it was a new one off the shelf
Just do not count on this. Bought Bestbuy online last week an open box Sony - 55" Class BRAVIA XR A95K 4K HDR OLED in excellent condition-in box for $1650. It was an hour away but you can no longer call the store, the 800# goes straight to the call center that just reads off what you find online - totally useless. Got to the store and they pulled it out and it was just the bare monitor wrapped in plastic, w/o even the power cord. They refused to even unwrap the plastic wrap so to look at the screen. Missing over $500 in accs. And they would not reduce the price. Even the salesman agreed it made no sense to buy it. To return my credit charge they had to record the SN#, and to get to the number they had to rip off the plastic wrap they they has just told me they could not do for me. Horrible experience..

You're definitely rolling the dice with stock. Stock on Samsung's website is constantly touch and go. I was able to get the 85" QN90B when it was $1609 through Samsung's EPP. I use it more than my OLEDs. It's nice being able to use a TV without having to worry about burn in and ABL. I highly recommend the QN90B because the QN90C is such a downgrade. The only true upgrade from the QN90B is the QN95C but it's super expensive at the moment.
When did u buy the 85 for 1600? I checked for memorial and labor day weekend as well!

Here's the thread. It was posted almost 80 days ago. https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/824942

I wasn't in the market for a TV at that point, but I bought it because it was such a great deal. My wife and I renovated our garage to accommodate it so now it's going to be utilized for sports, gaming, YouTube etc. I love OLEDs, but I hate having to constantly worry about burn in etc.

I live in FL, have it on my patio and consider myself picky when it comes to technology. No issues for me and I am very happy. Of course it might be noticeable on dark scenes, but so will the reflections from the environment so not a big deal. I highly recommend this TV.

Mmm would I hate myself If I got this after having an s95b?
Fairly certain they use the same panels and everything is identical in both models except for the inputs and the one connect box. If you search around, the one connect box seems to be a problem for a lot of people so this TV may be the better choice.

For those that buy this TV, do yourself a favor and download the SmartThings app and do the professional calibration from the app. It does a fantastic job getting a settings 99% dialed in allowing you to tweak from there. Picture will be so much better than factory settings and you can always reset if needed. Contrast and colors etc are so good after the calibration.

Buyer beware. Streaming looks great on this tv but it Does Not upscale basic cable well. I've tried every settings guide possible and nothing looks good.

Have you turned off all the fake picture 'enhancemens' that are turned on by default? Asking as I have had the complete opposite experience from you. I calibrated the TV via SmartThings app (mentioned in earlier post) and have my Tivo passthrough the signal which on my cable will all be 720 and 1080. Some MLB games just WOW me on how good they look. I literally can't wait for football season as I bought my TVs within the last couple months. Default settings left everything look like it had a bad photo smoothing filter on. With the calibration, even 720 looks great on my 65' and 75'.

Have this model in the 55" size. Excellent TV. Great brightness and color. Black levels look great also. Didn't want to hassle with OLED given our use of the TV. Would buy again.

I'll try that. I did the quick calibration with no improvement.
