Seeking medical help to mend my broken heart (post #138 for NEW update)

i dont know how to stop loving someone.

the guy im in love with is going to join the air force and wont ever be moving back here. i always thought we'd be together, get married and grow old together. it kills me inside to know he loves me but isnt in love with me anymore. i cant date anyone because i'll just keep comparing them and think "he's not adam". i've never really been in love with someone and not have them love me back the same way. i dont what to do. i dont feel like time heals all wounds. i dont feel like any amount of time will stop me from being in love with him.

there was a recent article on cnn or yahoo I read I think will be good to apply in this case. What these women did was they told the guy that they are on birth control when they are really not, and got pregnant on purpose to force the guy into committing

as hard as it is to deal with, and as much as it's going to hurt, just remember that you will eventually get over him- it will most likely be a slow process but in the end you will be a better person for it. i know it doesn't seem that way now, but you will learn a lot about yourself in the course of healing, and in the long run you will be glad it happened.
just remember that everything happens for a reason...

go into a deep depression, spend a lot of time being all emo, quit doing anything fun, stop seeing friends and become completely introverted.


or do the opposite of all of those and join life.

On again off again means he knew just like now that you will always be there when he left for something else and based on history he knows you will be eating bon bons and waiting for him to return even though his trip to Thailand rubbed him raw..

shake head i broke up with him first. then he kept wanting to be with me and i pushed him away. then id want to be with him, and he'd push me away. back and forth until today.

second time. first was with my ex of 7 years. i answered your second question already. 6 years off and on.

Unfortunately, you can't make someone love you so you have no other choice than to accept it and let time heal your heart. It will happen. A broken heart hurts but over time it stings less and less (or your become completely cold hearted like me and refuse to date anymore lol)
