Hope this helps.
We ended up returning it to Costco and purchased a different Bote kayak.

I'd still go with the Bote one just because it has high seat and I have bad back, otherwise I would definitely go with this lighter option you suggested.
https://www.dickssportinggoods.co...ts110xxpsk [dickssportinggoods.com] If you want to see how Bote handles c/s problems, call them and tell them the chair leaks air and see what they say. Lots of unhappy people despite all of their bs 5 star ratings. You claim accessories worth $300?? Laughable. A pump is $30., paddles can be found for $$40 on up which are generally better than the cheep one size fits all from Bote, Bag? Most don't use them as they hold in moisture. Lots of vendors carry bags. See paddlersoutlet.com for Body Glove pumps (very good quality) at $15. and bags at $25. Here's is Bote's long list of warranty exclusions:

If you plan to kayak much in salt water the first thing to do is find the tide tables for the water area you will be in.
Wow, the box is comes in is massive. Out of box, the backpack bag is smaller and seems to give a good bit of room to be able to get it back in, so I dont think any frustrations with breaking it down after use. However it's still pretty big. In a cars trunk it will take up a good bit of space.
Blowing up with very fast (probably done within 5 min). Sides to 2 psi goes quick and is effortless. Blowing up base floor to 15 psi took a bit more time and work. Honestly that part may not be easy for everyone or a kid to do. Seat also blew up fine (YES IT DOES COME WITH A SEAT). Paddle is nice, but heavier than I prefer. It is smaller than I thought. Based on pictures, I thought a child could sit up front, but I don't think that would be possible, maybe a toddler, maybe.
Overall, quality seemed very good. I found no issues on the boat and everything was packaged well. I'll take it out tomorrow for a test run at a local lake and also do some fishing off it.
Any questions, feel free to ask. But based on first impressions, no regrets, way better than intex inflatables I've had. Material seems very thick, floor is very solid, I think I'll be able to stand no issues on it. This is not a white water raft, so don't expect to use it like one nor hold up like one.
I have or have owned close to a dozen hard kayaks for fishing upwards of $3k+ each. I'm not expecting this to replace anything that I currently own, but I've been eyeing an inflatable for travel and other situations due to its lightweight design.
Stop with all this warranty/CS issues. From what I read, you yourself actually have zero hands on experience using Bote and working with their customer service.
This is being sold by Costco. If anyone has an issue, just return it to Costco. If this was not being sold from Costco, then maybe your concerns are valid, but still this is a well known brand. Their warranty exclusions are inline with other kayak manufacturers, pretty standard language.

(Bote's electric pumps are ridiculously expensive and overpriced)

Also, if you're kakaking solo and are concerned about heavy weight here's a good kakak cart. It's not as good as the legendary C-Tug but pretty similar.
