Bought 4 of these before pandemic times, about 5 years ago at $10/clearance.
Not bad.
Have the panels in windows for 3 years. pointed at bathrooms for nighttime. they are BRIGHT...sometimes i think i get a feeling i need to shut off the switch ,then remember its free light.
Long cord, panel to light that makes it easy.
settings kinda a nuisance to set.

I bought one and it didn't even last one year. I tried to contact customer support but was not successful.

I bought 2 last time and these are so trash. Once triggered they don't stay on long enough to actually see anything move. The plastic Yellow pretty quickly too. Solar panel is held with tension so it flips pretty easy x

There is a button for 30,60,120 Seconds I have it on the 2 minute setting and that is long. If something is still in the range of the light it will turn on again so it hasnt been an issue.

Bought two a couple years back and one died in probably 10 months or so the other one is going strong but wish it would stay on longer and provide more charge (it gets a ton of sun). I wouldn't buy again personally, even at this price

Bought 2, 1 has lived through heat, rain ,sleet
, hail and snow going 3 years strong behind garage, the second was smited by a pine limb spear for unknown sins and did not recover, the living one had a tendency to go off during the day which was always odd but never seemed to run out of battery once fully charged

What's the small monitor for? Is it color or black and white?

I got one and it didn't even last 3 months. Customer service said it would take 12 weeks to send a replacement with no tracking number. Guess we'll see if anything comes in the next two months.

It's the solar panel. The light is powered from the built-in battery charged by this solar panel.

I bought 6 of these a year ago. They have been fantastic lights. When I first got them, I opened two of them up and was surprised to see they had 2x 2000mAh 18650s inside each. I capacity tested the 18650s and they were actually at 2025mAh. I just opened them up after a year and retested and they are still at 2025mAh. A week with a couple overcast days in a row they would not turn on at night but I think it's because moths seem to set them off frequently and there are no adjustments for sensitivity so they ran out of power and needed a charge. The included screws are hot garbage and strip easier than aluminum.

I plan on putting an ESP32 cam module in some of them as a cheap security camera and weather center. I thought the solar panel served as how this detected day and night but there is actually a photoresistor next to the PIR thermal sensor. I needed to wrap one of the photoresistors in some electrical tape to make it a bit less sensitive as the bright light this thing produces was sometimes enough to reflect off of nearby objects and fool it into thinking it was daytime causing it to not trigger reliably. The plastic has yellowed and I recommend putting dielectric grease in the solar charging connector, but overall well worth the $10-$15 I paid each. There is a typical DW01 + 8205 battery protection circuit inside rated at >4A and a diode going to the solar panel. The light pulls around 2 to 4A if memory serves, so expect an hour of light in constant on mode at night.

I was wondering, did you have it on at night all the time. Some of these solar gadgets, they have cheap batteries, that if drained will not wake back up. Some say, it's best to leave it on motion sensor activation. But I'm just curious how your set-up is/was, as I just bought a couple for the place.
