- Get additional $50 off using this pre-order code
- Ask Samsung Chat for a $50 discount code (a unique code that could stack with the pre-order reserve code but seems to have trouble stacking for some people).
- Get additional discounts for education, government, military, business, first responders employees without actually being one by going through Google or just clicking on one of the categories (they don't verify but give you the discount)
Same here not just this time but for the past several years.
Never verified an Educ ID, or asked to.
Used the Educ discount on a few accounts with different email providers, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo mail.
Sometimes the Educ discount will not appear but it appeared after adding a phone to the cart, like the Flip 5 this time, and others in the past.
Sometimes there'll be a drop down with boxes to check the appropriate discount, Educ, Military, etc., but most times the Educ discount will appear.
Sometimes it helps to click on the bottom of the page on the offers links:

Samsung Rewards
Referral Program
Student & Education Offer Program
It looks not as much as a glitch but as something intentional for the order/sale to go through. - If your birthday is in August and you had it saved in your Samsung profile, you should have gotten or will get an e-mail with an extra $25 off discount which can stack with the above codes
- Add the Samsung Watch 6 separately into the cart and not as a bundle with the phone to get an extra fabric band for free.

Then got the Z Flip 4 for $100 (https://slickdeals.net/f/15968395-pre-order-samsung-galaxy-z-fold-4-or-z-flip-4-trade-in-offer-up-to-900-off-memory-upgrade?src=Sit
Then now the Z Flip 5 for $50.
I was able to sell my S21 at the time for like $180, so wasn't much out of pocket for a 2 generation newer phone at the time. Good luck with your decision.
PS: VZ trade in offer is better than samsung. They're offering $1000 for a 2019 note 10+. Samsung is only giving $300 for it.
edit: samsung customer rep said I can trade it in as long as I keep the account on vz paying on the old phone. Also found this thread on vz forums that confirms:

I have a S22 ultra with a charging issue I had planned to replace with a S23U but trade-in deal for this still sucks so I'm genuinely curious. The (what seems like) lesser camera on these is what is holding me back the most since I use my phone for on the go semi pro photography as a side hobby.

Also looking at the Pixel Fold, I'm hoping Samsung copies Google by using that aspect ratio, as it is so much better both in folded and unfolded mode.
But if someone really wanted the Fold then the 4 was $800 recently on FI with 3-4 month commitment, can't remember exactly, but that was definitely the way to go.
I have the S23 Ultra and def not changing. Reviewers complain about the skinny front screen and when they use the Pixel Fold, they talk about how they love it so much and hardly ever open the phone anyway. Like VR, there's no "killer app" for a folding phone unless you love looking at excel spreadsheets or something like Linus.

Tested Fold4 for 5 months last year and dumped it for S23U. 1 handed phones are just superior for most people and Fold's are simply too cumbersome IMO. I didn't enjoy using the front screen on the Fold at all and frequently had lag when trying to play simple games like Boggle (had some heat issues with this as well). S21U has still been IMO the best phone of the past 4 years for Samsung (albeit video and camera are starting to greatly improve).
I upgraded some family member's phones last year and had spare S22+ I was waiting to trade in (couldn't with shite S23U deals). Just traded in for Flip5 + S9+ + Watch6 Classic + 2x Buds. Selling the Flip5, my current tab S8U (too big for my tastes), and buds.
Major downgrade, unless you want a small phone.
