You can actually avoid this with a samsung routine - tell it after 9pm, disable fast charging, and enable battery protection (85% max batt). Then at 6am, have it reverse both, so it can fast charge again and hit 100% just before you wake up.
Then you have battery protection and capacity.
My flip4 is currently reading 94% on accubattery, and I didn't do any of the things I normally do to prolong battery life on it since it's the 128gb model and I always intended to trade it in after 1 year.
