Flip4 trade in is $900, looks like those who got the free upgrade from the 3 to the 4 are about to get another one.

So I finally pulled the trigger last night. I'm not sure if I got both $50 discounts applied, but oh well. The main thing I realized I was unprepared for was that I was thinking I'd do the free financing through Samsung, but then it hit me that I probably wouldn't get the 12% and 9% CB credited fully if I did that. It was late and I didn't want to spend yet more time searching this thread or posting a new question (and waiting), so I just paid for it all outright. So, was I correct in my assumption, or could I have used Samsung's 24-month financing and still gotten both the 12% and 9% CB on the full totals?

I also wasn't sure (and still am not) as to the color of the phone I should have chosen, so I'll probably be 2nd-guessing that one for a while. I chose Icy Blue since it's a stock color (so maybe a better chance of them having replacement parts in stock if I should ever get a cracked screen - but probably not as good as black) and because I liked the case w/S-pen color combo better than the cream or black versions.

Similarly for the watch, I had a tough time deciding on the band color. FWIW, I went with the non-Classic model because the bezel seems a bit unnecessary/gimmicky (I'd just as soon swipe to do the same things) and the raised bezel seems like it would make swiping harder / less accurate. I also didn't care for the numbers they "baked in" to the inside of the bezel, since I usually sport a minimalistic data-focused face, and just use classic/retro-style watch faces w/minute/second hands when I want to look a little classier (rare occasions), and it seems like those baked-in numbers will clash with my usual faces. Saving some $$$ by not getting the Classic was just a bonus for me. FWIW, I currently have a Skagen Falster Gen 6, and still like the style of that better than anything else, but it feels a little pokey and battery life is suboptimal, so for about $150, I figured why not get the Samsung Watch, too.

The other thing I was still hemming and hawing about was whether to finance it through T-Mobile but, again, I was thinking I'd lose out on the 12% and 9% CB if I did that.

Lastly, I still feel like the Google Pixel Fold might be the foldable phone I *really* want (I think I might prefer the form factor, and I like the clean Android UI and Google Camera), but I'm worried that screen cracking might be more common (though we'll have to see how that plays out once it's been out in general consumption a few more months) and I'm intrigued by DEX and the XReal AR glasses, neither of which the Pixel supports.

FWIW, I ran into some odd error during the whole cart/checkout process using Chrome on my MacBook last night. I ended up switching to using Safari and that seemed to not have the problem. I'm afraid I didn't take any more detailed notes as to the specific error/scenario, but if anyone faces anything odd like that, maybe this will still be of some help to someone.

S22 Ultra vs Flip 5

Which one do you think will get a better trade-in value toward S24 Ultra from Samsung. I'm debating whether or not to trade my S22 Ultra for Flip 5 now and trade Flip 5 for S24 Ultra later. Or keep S22 Ultra and wait for S24 Ultra 🤔.
i'm wondering the same, but i can't see the flip being more than $350-400 trade-in at that point. i would think the ultra would be $400-500

I dont understand, can you please explain more fully your decision on these phones?

Glad you got in on it. Did you get to check out with any of the bonus cash back offers from hny?
I did not. I've never really participated in the Cashback stuff from anyone. I think because I'm always buying and ordering things from different places and devices so, for me, it complicates the process and takes longer in trying to make sure all that works. Sometimes it's already a bit of a pain to get everything working (see current thread, lol) so I just leave that out.

Anyone here know if international variants are allowed for trade in? My phone is the Korean variant of s23 ultra .. would Samsung take it as trade in?
As long as it has a FCC id.

Has anyone tried placing multiple orders and got the PayPal points (cb) on all of them. I placed one and it showed up almost immediately. Second one, nothing.
After placing the order, you need to re-add the offer.

How easy is for the screen to crack on these flip and fold phones? The new ones look great but how the heck do you protect the screen? I have a tile floor and drop my phone sometimes. That makes me super nervous about them.
