Flip4 trade in is $900, looks like those who got the free upgrade from the 3 to the 4 are about to get another one.

Only going for $650 on Swappa so don't expect a huge profit if you Flip it.
Yeah I noticed that too. Looks like no buyer for even $650. Probably slickdeals effect, now everyone knows how to get the best deal directly from Samsung, so there is no need to buy from third party.

I really thought about upgrading my fold 4, but literally every review says it's not worth it. Gonna skip it
It isn't worth it but I'm glad I did the upgrade. It wasn't that much money when you factor in cb and the likely $200 extra trade on the next model. I'm happy with the flat open and closed mode. The thinner profile, no need for case and the brighter screen. I barely see the crease compared to my fold4.

It is not worth it if income is a problem.

The cover screen is really cool. Being able to watch video on it and run apps on it folded. But the big reason I upgraded my 4 to the 5 is to refresh my warranty. A month ago I dropped it and broke the hinge, and it was warranty repaired, but otherwise would have been $650.
What do you mean cover screen is cool, watch video on it and run apps folded? Is there something new I don't know about?

Only thing I know new on the usage is the two finger input feature. Where you can hold down an app with one finger and move the screen with the other finger instead of dragging to edge.

they gave you warranty repair for dropping the phone? Are you sure its not insurance protection?

I purchased it yesterday but did not receive any instruction about trade-in. When will I get an email with how I can send my phone for trade in. My phone is expected to be delivered on August 25. Maybe after it is delivered?
When the phone is shipped. Samsung will send you an email. Don't worry, Samsung won't forget their trade-in.

received the flip 5 yesterday and the package has had a 30% off coupon that can be used for "galaxy ecosystem"

anyone know if this coupon applies to anything and stacks with other discounts?

Fyi flip5. By default, you cant. You can enable some experimental widgets to play more apps such as Youtube, Netflix and etc. The cover screen is small but i found this quite useful in case you play music videos in the background. I hope more widgets are released.

Hmm now you have me reconsidering:
After trading in my fold 4, the total price for the fold 5 and watch 6 classic 47mm is $829 - $165 CB = $ 664. I can probably sell the watch 6 classic for $150-200 hopefully. So the total price is ~$500. Still not sure if its worth it.

The extra $200 trade in down the road is a good point as well. But my fold 4 is basically in good shape except the inner screen protector is starting to come up.

Hmmm

I took it into the assurion warranty repair shop and handed it to them. They saw that it wouldn't open and said it was covered under warranty. My impression, and assumption, is that they look for any and every reason to repair phones under warranty because they can bill Samsung for it each time.
