- Get additional $50 off using this pre-order code
- Ask Samsung Chat for a $50 discount code (a unique code that could stack with the pre-order reserve code but seems to have trouble stacking for some people).
- Get additional discounts for education, government, military, business, first responders employees without actually being one by going through Google or just clicking on one of the categories (they don't verify but give you the discount)
Same here not just this time but for the past several years.
Never verified an Educ ID, or asked to.
Used the Educ discount on a few accounts with different email providers, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo mail.
Sometimes the Educ discount will not appear but it appeared after adding a phone to the cart, like the Flip 5 this time, and others in the past.
Sometimes there'll be a drop down with boxes to check the appropriate discount, Educ, Military, etc., but most times the Educ discount will appear.
Sometimes it helps to click on the bottom of the page on the offers links:
Offers
Offers
Samsung Rewards
Referral Program
Student & Education Offer Program
It looks not as much as a glitch but as something intentional for the order/sale to go through. - If your birthday is in August and you had it saved in your Samsung profile, you should have gotten or will get an e-mail with an extra $25 off discount which can stack with the above codes
- Add the Samsung Watch 6 separately into the cart and not as a bundle with the phone to get an extra fabric band for free.

Those who have, do you think it's too slippery to be used without a case?
You can open it. I just spoke to Samsung and even with it opened you can return it for a full refund.
Just for you, I took two photos in my home office. It's dark here.
Here's the Fold5: https://i.imgur.com/LQGmWxZ.jpg
Here is the S22U: https://i.imgur.com/N6512gQ.jpg
And for comparison, here's my mirrorless Sony camera: https://i.imgur.com/TyWnCNa.jpg
I ordered mine on Aug 1 and got a a tracking # on 8-7 but it hasn't shipped
I agree with everything you mentioned. And I also have an S22U but decided against getting a Fold5 for the reasons you are sending yours back. I was up last night until the last moment of the preorder period mulling over this, but ultimately decided against it.

I am keeping the phone - I have already sent my Flip4. I was just debating on getting a case.

My brother ordered 7/28 with EDU still not shipped. Says delivery 08/25.
I ordered without EDU and was delivered this week.

Ah Okay, Thanks.
I thought maybe his order got lost.
I installed Google's Phone app and made it the default and I see my favorites there. Great.
But Google's Messages app isn't showing me any of my old text messages. Ugh. What do I need to do to fix this?
Does the Samsung messages app show your old texts and the Google messages app not?
If both apps do not show your texts, then you likely didn't import it right.
Unfortunately, Samsung and Google's import tools do not allow on demand import of specific items, like texts.
If you need to re import, you can use SMS backup and restore app. It's great. The free version has its shortcomings, so consider paying up.
G Cloud backup also did a good job for my a while back, but they may have rebranded.
If the import did work and showing on Samsung messages, but Google messages app still isn't showing texts, then go ahead and uninstall and reinstall Google messages app. Or reset data for that app. Give it the necessary permissions and try again.
Outside of that, use any app mate. Stop being picky, lol.
Can I ever freaking rely on Samsung to not be consistently inconsistent?
edit: it was $700 last night.
