Note that Samsung adds sales tax on the original retail price of all items in cart, not considering any trade-in discounts or anything - that makes the total $240+$175 = $375 in CA

And I was making people aware that Samsung is only doing that because he's in California. I have the same items in my cart in VA ($50 for the phone after trade, $50 for the buds, $150 for the watch) and the after-tax total for all 3 is $266.xx, for a whopping $16 in tax. Samsung charges tax on the pre-discounted, pre-trade prices only because Cali and some other states make them. Most do not.

It's exactly the same when you do a trade in deal at Best Buy or anywhere else when you live in CA.

No.
Do 2 different orders, or use 2 different accounts to be able to use the Q5B5RESWEB reserve code on both orders.

It won't damage the screen?
I traded in last year when my flip3 was peeling at the crease. Received full trade in amount.

Did anyone trade in z flip with the original screen protector that has crease on it? Wondering if they will flag that? I know i can get it replaced but I would probably have to wait till I receive the new phone before I bring it into the authorized repair shop..
I've traded in my flip3 like this last year. Received full trade in credit.

I have a $25 off $50 code from another promotion that expires tonight for $5 AGC.

It stacks with the generic preorder code, but the order has to be over $50. Since this is $49.99, you'll need a filler.

Does anyone know if you cancel your order if you can re-apply the $50 pre-order credit?

They of course didn't have the LTE or Band version in stock when I placed my order and now they do.

I got them to reduce the cost to 40% ($299), rolled on my belly and paid it. My CC will cover the cost minus $50 deductible, but it still stings.
I'm thinking of doing this too.
Out of curiosity, if the credit card is covering the cost by paying $50, what is the benefit of negotiating on a repair cost?

You have to sign into PayPal and go to the Deals tab. Then look for the Samsung offer and click the (+) sign to add it to your account (if you dont see it on your page, add random offers until it pops up). You can verify this by going to Saved to see if it is there. Once you do that, you can do the other CB offer and just checkout with PayPal
I hit the "+" but my "Saved" is empty. I have to manually search for "Samsung" to find it.

I went ahead with the purchase but my PayPal rewards "Pending" section is empty.

For some reason, Samsung is not one of the options with a + available. I can find it and link from Paypal to Samsung and possibly get 9% back, but there's no way to add it to Saved Deals for me. Frown

That's actually a really good question.

The original amount was about 550. My CC will cover up to $600 per occurrence (max 2) and $1000 per rolling year. I just wanted to get the cost below $400 so I could have a the full $600 ($1000 - $400) for another claim if I needed it. That way if something happens I'm still whole. Also, I was being petty because I was angry.

Even though the PayPal rewards "Pending" section is empty, you should have gotten a PP email on the same day with the number of rewards points to be credited.

If not, you've got to ask PP CS for help.
Your PP purchase payment is in your activity record.

Also, some times you may be credited with the wrong # of PP rewards points, and you have to contact CS to get it fixed.

Thank you for your reply.
Samsung has quoted me 550 as well.
Share the trick of getting the discount on repair cost, I'll follow the same 😁
