Fine for gaming, copying files to/from it will be slower than nvme drives but for gaming the difference is negligible, and if this is your first ssd you will absolute bask in how much faster it is than spinning rust

As for movie storage, I mean it'll work but it is overkill for stuff like that with no advantage over HDDs for streaming e.g. as Plex storage

QX is their naming convention to confuse consumers. That said this drive is QLC, but they try to hide the fact by sparkling you with terms like "3d NAND" which is meaningless since all TLC, QLC is "3D NAND". SLC is not going to happen in a consumer drive anymore, the cost for what you get makes it impractical, at most you'll get part of your cache as SLC, which doesn't say much

I'd bite if I need storage. Good for gaming library... If AND ONLY IF it fails, you can always redownload the games later on.

Not too many reviews out there... I'm gonna guess it's going to be close to SMR speeds (~70 MBps).

Mine doesn't record 24x7, just motion activated. Also, the size that my cam system can support is 2.5" drives. And I don't find a lot of options that are significantly cheaper than SSDs. Any recommendations?
