Would this work with an iPad Pro as a desktop?

This is the monitor that has wake-up issues with display port. Which seems minor at first, but I can see how this gets aggravating pretty fast. But it explains the many negative reviews mentioning this issue. And why it's so cheap.

$130's a good deal for this one, since it also has speakers too.

Acer puts out so many models and model variants. They'll take one model, throw some speakers in it, use the same name and another variant. Or they'll add a different variety of port combinations, height tilt, etc. They don't seem the best at updating drivers to solve issues, perhaps because of the work behind testing and updating all those individual variants.

But Acer's not my favorite brand. I'd rather have a Dell, Samsung, HP, Asus, etc., but to have the same combination of features would likely cost dramatically more. Plus, no disrespect to NewEgg, but I'd rather have easier returnability with Best Buy, Staples, Walmart or Costco.

Good price though 27 + 2k + IPS + speakers.

Monitor pricing seems to be coming down, especially with older model technologies.

Then there's the DP issue of course. HDMI seems to be the workaround.

Overall Review: Specs are fine, and pice is good. BUT...once the monitor goes to sleep, there is a good 50% change it won't wake up. I don't mean just "input signal not detected" type of handshake issue. What's really bad is the monitor becomes totally unresponsive to anything. None of the buttons work at all, including input switches, On/Off. It just goes into zombie mode. The ONLY way to revive it is to unplug the power cord. Imagine you have to do this multiple times a day. It happens with only the DP input, HDMI is fine. There is definitely an engineering/design issue with this monitor. Like the other user, I bought new VESA certified cable, tried all sorts of setting changes, nothing helps. DO NOT BUY if you need DP input.

Would. Even with wakeup issues, I think it might not happen cause if it does, you should be able to warranty/fix it with no cost except hassle.

The true SD for me is to use my yamakasi catleap q270 that's still working even though it's had glitches, when it dies. I will then spend money. To save money. I will not spend more money earlier.
