Found this coupon that's live for now for $27 off the price making this $13 with free shipping. G10 handle, D2 steel blade and flipper action. I bought last time when it was $15 and was pretty impressed. Coupon code: SLIMSUMMER13
These are pretty junk in comparison. The black coating scratches easily and blade stock is so thin the flipper won't work correctly without an extra wrist flick. The lock bar is also thin and sticks due to the black coating.
This is a budget "slim" version of the regular Ausus which is a solid knife.

You really don't see what they are asking? They know what knives are for but they want to be sold on why this is better than all the other knives that are constantly hitting FP. I love having a few people provide opinions on something I'm considering buying whether they had a good or bad experience.
Maybe they are asking if this model and brand excel at anything. Is it particularly good for self defense or camping? Based on the branding in their photos pairing it with guns, tattoos, and tactical gear it looks like you are buying it almost for the aesthetic/military vibe. (Actual military guys I know have super high quality knives they keep for life.)
Why choose this over the $2-5 knife in big clear bowl at the camping store? I've had one of those for 20+ years now. People in the comments admit they've broken one of these so it's not the quality. I get $13 for anything isn't much these days, but I also see people asking for "use suggestions" for all sorts of things so they can go "in for 2" and buy lol. I like reading comments to find unique uses for things (or why not to use them for other reasons lol). Maybe it's actually the best rock climbing knife or happens to excel in some other way.
I personally can see many uses for this but I can also see many better options as well depending on the situation and lifestyle. I think I'd want something different for self defense, a box cutter for cutting boxes, something with more accessories for camping (they do sell some cool utility knives on the site).
It almost seems like a knife for people who don't cut things. (The same way there's lots of fitness products for people who don't workout/never get in shape but will spend tons loading up on products and gimmicks.) Based on a bit of research D2 seems like a good standard, but only when done well and tons of cheap knives aren't doing it well (is a $13 shipped knife meeting this standard?) Googling around I couldn't find any 3rd party sites recommending this brand for their D2 steel knives.
I'd love for a knife expert/enthusiast to come in and state whether it's a good deal and share some information or maybe there's some other brand proving 10x the quality at 2x the price that people go with.
A bit off topic but in the 4th picture where you can see a hand tossing the knife the guy has grease or some other black substance on his fingers which appears to be from holding the knife .
Sorry if there's any repetition or confusing bits. I moved some sections around a bit to try and add clarity and I think I failed but I've already spent way too much time on this post.

How do these compare to civivi knives with similar materials?
