I might have missed the answer to my first request... but I won't let that stop me from adding another... what innovation/market condition are you waiting for that will yield a greater value proposition at that price point?

You're good, you don't need a response. If you're looking for innovation it isn't here. Nor is the pricing/market condition. When the GPU costs more than your CPU/motherboard/RAM combined. Something is off there. There is no recommendation because there isn't anything of value at this time.

I upgraded my i7-10700 build from a 1070 to a 4070 I found on ebay for $500 and I love it!
Just played Rachet and clank at 1440p with ray tracing and it looks great, was able to get frame rates between 140-160 on my 165hz monitor.
