I switched from 4x 14TB WD white labels shucked from EasyStores to 4 of these Exos x20 20TB that I got for $260 from a Newegg deal two months back. These drives are much more responsive than the white labels (seek times when streaming music turned from half a second into instantaneous), but at a big cost in noise. These are LOUD when they are being taxed. I regret the purchase somewhat, but I'm not sure if there are quieter 20TBs. At any rate, I wouldn't recommend these for a NAS in a living space, unless you have a high tolerance for drive noise.
Someone always has to say it 😂😂😂. That's why you buy 2 or more genius
Test your drives! I ordered 2 refurbished 20tb drives and 1 of them failed SMART tests out of the box. They've been very responsive and are replacing the defective drive.

I had some good luck with these guys last year but the last 2 hard drives I've gotten from them one from Seagate and the other WD, both came DOA and this has been in the past week. I'm going back to new drives.

Yeah, I second this. Mine sound like my desktop is going to start galloping away. And, a lot of times, it sounds like that when I'm not even using it.

I bought 3 of these drives 2 weeks ago. (factory re-certificated) All look good and had less than 24 hours runtime on them, all passed a pre-clear just fine.

They reset SMART. They are not new drives.

They are. I have 14tb in a desktop under a table, I can hear it more than the 8TB it replaced, but for me it isn't a bother.
I expected it when I ordered it.

This drive failed 4 months into it. Return was easy, but cost me 15 shipping.

Well the Shucked White label drives are 5400rpm and these are 7200rpm so you are going to have a speed difference
