Not telling anyone not to buy it, but something you all need to know. This company recently destroyed their customer service department. If you have a problem, you're going to wait months for warranty replacements. Further, they randomly pulled the plug on the iKamand (Google this product name) fan controller, rendering them paperweights. Completely useless. This device relied on the cloud in order to function. On July 4th this year, the company discontinued the service, ruining everybody's 4th of July barbecue. there were people in the middle of cooking whose food got destroyed. you can see more information on this on the Reddit page.

The kamado itself is still a very high quality product, but ever since they were bought out by some Wall Street bank, customer service has been destroyed at Kamado Joe.

Thanks for linking this. Wish I could move on it if I had the money, but saving up for a vacation. There's always next year. I do have the kettle joe which was pretty good at 288 earlier this year in march, and has great value. Gotta dream about that full ceramic for now

No problem. Been monitoring prices for months.. sadly I started caring about grills about 2 weeks after the sales ended this May. Saw this, bought it, and decided to give back to the community here. Slick deals has been good to me, least I can do.

At least they are crediting $250 for the ikammad.

How long ago did they gut their CS department? A few months ago I placed a warranty claim for a cracked base and got a shipment within a week. It was one of the easiest warranty claims I've ever done.

Like a month or so. I'm waiting 2 full weeks on a bad cart for my Big Joe 3. They haven't even acknowledged me yet.
