Do I have to play this like an arcade game where I have limited lives or can I give myself unlimited lives so I can play through it without worrying about game overs and restarting

This looks similar to the double dragon game that came out (which has a bug that won't let me move past a certain level)

Yes, for what is it I would recommend. I played the arcade game growing up so it might be the nostalgia. However, coop is always good and you can do story or arcade. Arcade does have a custom option to have unlimited lives along with other selections. Different difficulties to keep it challenging if you want. I paid $25 also and don't have a problem with that price.
