You go to the product page, click on 'choose your free product,' add the battery.

They both add to your cart. The tool combo (2 tools, 2 batteries, 1 charger) for $266.99 and an extra battery for $112.01, both totaling $379. This is how Home Depot does 'free' items.

You then return the $112.01 battery and now you have a tool combo kit for $266.99 (+tax). Hence, 'hack.'

You can also do store pickup of both items and select a different location for the battery and never pick it up. It'll cancel itself in a couple weeks and refund you the $112.01.

It seems to be as just over $300 was the cheapest I saw before.

Im considering that one too, I do need the hammer drill for some projects but its hardly used. I do wish I would've bought the combo with ratchet with 10% off at $179 . Current hack deal at $138 is good still. Im waiting ship to store on this m18 deal and will probably sell the batteries to offset cost

I'd think adding the impact driver w/ a larger 2nd battery should justify the $67 price increase.

This seems even more slick if you ask me, assuming one doesn't have the impact already.

You can do even better by just cancelling the second item right after you place the order but it only works on the website, the app doesn't give you the option.

That's a heck of a deal for this kit. If you're patient, order the battery for pickup at a HD you don't want to drive to and the kit at your nearest HD. Never pick up the battery and after about a week they will refund you for it, only being charged the amount for the kit.

this used to go on sale for 349. with a 8ah battery before , but seems like homedepot has jacked the price up of this kit alot

I got mine back in may for $244 before tax with the hack. You can find it in slick search, but the whole thing was $349 before
