Very Simple. Telling you this as I have one. Just pull out the trundle more, making a passage in between the bed & the trundle. The trundle doesnt have to be right next to the top bed when in use.

Or even rotate the trundle 90 degrees. People seem to think it's on a track

J/K..day beds look lile couches but a bed. It's basically a couch with a mattress..or people say it's a bed with 3 sides.

Its nice. We have queen on top and a full at the bottom. We have put this setup in our guest room. Added some decent mattresses, and its been fine since past over a year now. Althought I did not get the 1 specific here listed. I got mine off from wayfair.

I have short term rentals, so I am always looking for bedding options. Pullouts just arent comfortable for anyone.
