Root Beer are the best. Others aren't so great. I can remember getting these for Halloween 30 years ago along with several other candy products you wouldn't typically see otherwise.
I don't know if I am imagining things, because these used to be one of my favorite candies growing up, but now they just taste kind of odd. Like the flavor isn't as intense as it used to be, and maybe my taste buds changed, but the last time that I bought these from Dollar Tree, they just tasted weird. I'm not sure if they changed the formula, or what they are sweetened with, but I remember them tasting a lot more like the sodas that they were supposed to be emulating in the early 2000s.

Once I saw this, I wanted some! Walmart is $1.24 for one box if you don't want to get 10 boxes.

Agreed, imagine if they had boxes of only root beer flavor, I'd probably be buying this and be going to the dentist soon
These are gross now. Mostly cherry nasty flavor (cherry candy is usually good, cherry Bottlecaps are not). Cola, root beer, an occasional grape and orange is the proper ratio.
I should buy these and make boxes with only the 2-3 decent flavors to smuggle into theater. Probably get four or five good boxes out of it, still cheaper than buying it there.

They taste different than the lil packets I'd eat in the 90s

I totally agree with you.it's the aftertaste for me.they used to be bigger too not the size of a dime.lol

That odd taste is because the ones you are buying I. Dollar tree are the excess from the ones we ate in the 80s and 90s.
I got this 10-pack from Amazon a month or two ago. Everything seemed fine, but TWO of the boxes in the middle were completely empty! Not broken, everything looked pristine. They'd just never been filled. The box seemed to be direct from Ferrara via Amazon.
The manufacturer sent me a coupon that squared us up, and I'm ordering another now. But will be checking the contents as soon as I receive them.
I was a fan decades ago too. I don't notice any flavor change, but I'm pretty sure they used to be a bit larger, and also had a convex shape and textures on both sides to mimic a real cap a little more. Agreed that Root Beer is best, but I enjoy the other flavors too.

Yes they were bigger but thinner. They don't even look like bottle caps anymore
