You can get decent strat copy new for about $69 shipped; but for $5 more here you get a thicker gig bag, mainly a humbucker and a rock solid return policy, for any reason. Know first; but if you change your mind then just return it. Monoprice is a known seller. eBay, wish and Temu is fine but you better vet your sellers and policies.
With a +$10 matching TUSQ nut you can perfect the fine balances of "TRAIN" super setup and the floating trem. Do not lock it down; but optional. Keeping low action, tune return(with new and stretched Ernie Ball 9's), and no fret buzz doing it. The frets are fine and if you have to smooth them more then so what? YOU WIN!

Bottom line it's a well built entry level guitar that plays well and sounds good for the money...especially for $75.

I honestly mean that as praise. Thanks for helping plebes like meπ
Gonna donate mine to a kids music program or something
I might spend $100 more and get a Squire. I got a Squire Affinity Telecaster for $150 last black friday and it is an awesome instrument

T>une (Slightly different method with a floating up and down Trem. And easy. See a video on tremolo bar setup.)
R>od: As in Truss rod in small 1/4 turn increments.
A>ction: String heights.
I>ntonation: Global tune. Check your 12th fret matches you open strings. Turn direction is counter intuitive; because you retune after changing a strings intonation.
N>oodle LOL. Play it in, Then do TRAIN two more times. It's about the balances.
I could have bought a used Affinity and it was black too, for $125. Before C19. I bought a $68 SSS strat (Sunburst, w/grain) that I added a $10 (had $9 off) TUSQ slippery nut to and it's awesome.
I just think it's funny; as all the parts are about the same. Colors and head-stock shape are mere preferences.
I'm sure Steve Via couldn't play well on either one of them, Not.
Note: People are saying these come setup just fine. There always more you can do, fret sprout sometimes on newly made necks and playing style preferences that effect a super setup. Super because besides T.R;A.I.N. you can work with the nut heights and cut, to perfect a no buzzing low action. Which can be really low, for a Strat. And floor your pups for sustain (about a millimeter over the pick guard, and slightly more toward the bridge and Fat E string #6). Bar fret your 15th to 22nd fret al the way across (Capo?) and observe string heights over the pickups. balance them for same volume and just enough height to not buzz. This assumes your frets are level, nut is optimal(a big deal) and weather has not bent your neck.
