I have the 2023 legion slim 7i (i7 + 4060 version), very happy with it. I would not recommend this version though, even considering how much cheaper it is to mine.
A big selling point of Slim 7 is its premium feeling, especially when not gaming. I can take it with my business trip and get serious work done too, and it won't look out of place (compare to, say, a Alienware)
The FHD 300nit screen makes it much less usable for other scenarios than gaming. Sure, when you game on a slim form factor like this one, you most likely need to downscale to 1080P for better framerate, but I definitely appreciate more pixels on the screen when editing doc or writing code.

FHD sucks and instantly disqualifies machines for me, but still don't understand by people freak out about 300 nits.
I added this to my cart this morning when the price was $824.99, which seems like a pretty good deal considering new laptops with similar specs are at least $900.
Maybe cause it's not a slick deal. The price for a new model at my best buy is showing as $1099.99 so the open box price is only a 10% markdown for open box excellent. I'm also guessing due to a max of 24 gb ram upgradability and has a weak display for the specs.

I'm now seeing $823.99 for Open-Box Excellent, which is about 25% off the current new price. Idk, seems like a fine deal. This normally costs more vs something like a Nitro bc here you get a lighter machine and better build quality. For gaming laptops around $1k there's always compromises.

I know the screen is larger, this has TB4, PCIE 4 and DDR5. So there's definitely a number of upgrades, but I'm not sure about the Intel chip..

But I still don't understand people that freak out about FHD resolution.
