Another slick deal that gets me in trouble with my wife! I've been eyeballing the UP Lego house for quite some time, and when I saw the deal pop up, I knew it was meant to be. Well apparently my wife did too. She bought it at Walmart for the same price for me for my birthday later this month…..the one I ordered from Amazon came in yesterday, and she was less than pleased with my slick dealing AGAIN. I have done this to her numerous times, so I think I stay off of slick deals starting the end of july, until my birthday is over.

Haha...I had a similar thing happen with the '89 Batmobile LEGO set. My kids asked me, a few years ago, what I wanted for Xmas...I jokingly told them the Batmobile (not thinking, or even wanting them to spend that much on me)... I went out and bought it...and Christmas day shows up...they bring out this big wrapped gift...and it was the Batmobile. They were disappointed, and were gonna take it back, but I said - no, you just solved a dilemma...build or not build...so I built one and still have one in the box.
I've gotten used to not getting what I've asked for, so I just buy it myself. Sometimes it bites ya...
