I was a little slow on the trigger for this post but this is one of many common questions that come up whenever this sale comes around, which is why I set up this All-Clad Pots & Pans sticky thread over on the Products forum for frequently asked questions about this sale and these pans.

Suggestions on improving that thread (and rep) welcome.

All professional cooks use stainless steel. Pretty much every single food you've eaten at a restaurant was cooked on stainless steel

Ugh. Those handles though. Never again. I started to loathe cooking because I never held them "properly" and my hands would always ache afterwards 😩🥴
How much do you need to hold the handle? It's not the best, but the worst,but...few tosses here and there it doesn't seem like it's anything to worry about

It ships directly from All Clad. I bought the past deal - same pans, but a 10 and a 12, instead of 8 and 10. They were absolutely perfect - just the packaging was damaged. I cook with them daily now.

They're pretty awful. I have the 10 and 12 inch fry pans and they are indeed excellent cooking wise. I also have a Member's Mark knockoff(Tromontina). The cheap set has similar but superior handles.

I think I might need to join all-clad anonymous. I might have a problem...
Yeaaa, I don't even like cooking, but I do all sorts of other work with other tools so I respect and want to use good stuff. All-Clad seems to make pretty good tools for cooking, so to speak. And having quality tools makes me more inclined to want to cook and learn.

I've only ever bought it through these sales on here. Twice now, both occasions I've been more than happy with what I received. Most of the time, I can't even find a real defect.

I've mostly purchased the D3 stainless stuff. In my amateur experience, it's definitely a bit more clean up than using Non-Stick, but I'm making an effort to get better. I do also have their 8" / 10" Hard Anodized Non-stick pans, which are my daily beaters. They are still working good after a year or two, but I am noticing the edge/lip of the pan is showing some wear. I do not blame them for it, as I suspect it is from me putting them in the dishwasher and the abrasives in the detergent is basically sand blasting the pan.

I just ordered another 8"/10" Hard Anodized Non-stick set-- among other D3 stainless pieces, that I will stash away for when my current ones "wear out" and I think going forward I will try to hand wash them as the site suggests.

I also did a complete outfit of Tramontina, the All-Clad handles were incredibly uncomfortable, I'd suggest anyone looking to order to check their local TjMaxx/Marshalls/Home Goods, because they usually have a few All-Clad pans and you can hold them in person.
