I was a little slow on the trigger for this post but this is one of many common questions that come up whenever this sale comes around, which is why I set up this All-Clad Pots & Pans sticky thread over on the Products forum for frequently asked questions about this sale and these pans.

Suggestions on improving that thread (and rep) welcome.

All professional cooks use stainless steel. Pretty much every single food you've eaten at a restaurant was cooked on stainless steel

I purchased a couple of Everyday cookware pans from this site a month a go, after switching to an induction cooktop. So far no issues with them and saved some $$ over buying new.

For those that don't like the traditional all-clad handle. The all-clad everyday cookware line has a more user friendly handle shape than the traditional all-clad handle.

I'll second this. I have both All-Clad D3 and D3 Everyday pieces. I like them both but the D3 Everyday is for people who just can't stand the traditional All-Clad handle. There's a video link in the sticky thread if you'd like to see them side by side.

Hard pass on the pages worth of Terms and Conditions just to buy something...

And to top it off: "all sales final..."

Geez
All sales are final because it's a factory seconds sale that is already heavily discounted. Use the code above for further discount. I've bought 7 or 8 "packaging damage" pieces from these sales over the years and they were all in brand new condition and most of them had no visible packaging damage.

Is this safe to cook on? I heard ceramic was the safe and best option for health. I don't remember the draw backs to staleness steel
There are no health issues with cooking on stainless steel. Stainless is nonreactive. There are some cooking drawbacks and you need to learn how to use these pans:

- They take a while to come to temperature. You need to preheat them for a few minutes.
- They will not be "non-stick" until they get very hot.
- Stainless is very conductive and it's important to use the right sized burner on your stove. If you use one that's too large it will super-heat the sizes and cause carbon staining.

Otherwise stainless is fantastic and I use it all the time. I have that famous Emril set from Macy's from 15+ years ago they were clearing out for $99 that turned out to be rebaged All Clad. I use the 8qt pot for all my soups/stews, the 10" pan is great for chicken breasts, and I saute mushrooms and shallots in the 8" pan. I use those Scotch Brite stainless steel scrubbers on them- they don't scratch and take any scortching/carbonization off with little effort. Other than a few battle scars and dents, my set is still shiny and looks great.

Ugh. Those handles though. Never again. I started to loathe cooking because I never held them "properly" and my hands would always ache afterwards 😩🥴
Wait…what's the proper way to hold those handles?

Yeaaa, I don't even like cooking, but I do all sorts of other work with other tools so I respect and want to use good stuff. All-Clad seems to make pretty good tools for cooking, so to speak. And having quality tools makes me more inclined to want to cook and learn.

I've only ever bought it through these sales on here. Twice now, both occasions I've been more than happy with what I received. Most of the time, I can't even find a real defect.

I've mostly purchased the D3 stainless stuff. In my amateur experience, it's definitely a bit more clean up than using Non-Stick, but I'm making an effort to get better. I do also have their 8" / 10" Hard Anodized Non-stick pans, which are my daily beaters. They are still working good after a year or two, but I am noticing the edge/lip of the pan is showing some wear. I do not blame them for it, as I suspect it is from me putting them in the dishwasher and the abrasives in the detergent is basically sand blasting the pan.

I just ordered another 8"/10" Hard Anodized Non-stick set-- among other D3 stainless pieces, that I will stash away for when my current ones "wear out" and I think going forward I will try to hand wash them as the site suggests.
Make sure you deglaze the pan right after cooking and it will make clean up a breeze
