If you purchase open box Lenovo you can contact them and have them update the warranty as long as you have your receipt. Had no issues with this when I purchased my last Lenovo.

i do see that but per lenovo's webpage, this puppy is 350-nit, 165hz. i'd probably trust lenovo over what bby's page says.

100w for the gpu. Is that average for the 3060? I want to say I saw they could do 120w but I could be confusing that.
My Asus Tuf has a 3060 @140W. I'd say 100W is on the lower side.

Best buy states that it comes with warranty but YMMV.

Some warranties start the moment someone registered it.

So for example, Customer X buys laptop, registers it for the warranty (in this case 1 Year) and then decides to return it.
Laptop proceeds to sit on shelf for 6 months until Customer Y buys it. Customer Y only finds it has 6months warranty left.

AFAIK that's how some work. Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Have the 5600h version of this with the 16:9 screen that I got open box from best buy last year. Was basically brand new

Love everything about it but the 300 nits still bothers me. Spend more money for the 500 nits version if you anticipate it bothering you

My satisfactory unit had no charger. Second time this has happened when trying to buy an open box laptop at best buy. Incomplete should be the bottom tier of used.

I actually picked up an Open Box Excellent on Wednesday. They started this 3 day anniversary sale yesterday night and Best buy would not allow me to do a price adjustment, so I ended up picking up an open box fair model that was basically brand new no box, with a 30 battery cycle count.

Unfortunately, theres only 3 months left on the warranty when I checked, but there's an option to correct the purchase date, so I'm going to try my luck to see if they'll extend it for the full year for me.

If any of you are interested, here's the link https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/e...y-lookup#/

I had an open box excellent near me and almost picked it up but when I compare it to my $300 laptop with my 11th gen i5 with 40gb DDR4 it's hard to justify. I hate the TouchPad on it because I can rest my wrist on the edge and it causes the TouchPad to left click to activate but I feel I should hold off for something more upgradeable or more affordable.

There's one near me and i am tempted to replace my 17" omen with it. The omen is mostly nice but the charger/charging port is a seriously poor design. It has a 140w 3060 though. I'll have to check to see how much of a difference there is.

Sure thing. However, I have another cool story about how autocorrect has been around for quite some time, and yet it seems that some people still can't properly spell simple words.

Anyways, this laptop is an HP with 250 nits. The screen blows, and I just don't see how upgrading to this is really going to make much difference considering I stream games from a pc with a 12900k with a 2080ti.

Cool story?
