One reason...3800 has Audyssey xt32 which is a big jump over the Audyssey version in the 2800.

I have a 3800H and compared to Marantz, Onkyo and Pioneer with same speakers, Denon is bright… it's good but BRIGHT!

Why did you go with the 3800 over the 2800? Obviously better specs but anything specific?

I ask because I am in the market but have 4 ohm speakers and need beefier amp section for mental peace.

Yeah, but we got pre-outs and 5 yr warranty provided you registered. I love the dialog from this receiver. I got lucky on a mishap and net 600 for me.
