Vilar imports is $5-7/lb roasted and sent priority within a day. Whole bean.

Preground store brand with unknown expiration should be about $3/lb to even consider buying it.

Try it for yourself. If I listened to every person that didn't like a particular brand of coffee, I'd have to give up drinking it.

I tried the whole beans of this and I thought it was good. I used it for my morning espresso. In general, ground coffee doesn't taste good, so not sure you should buy this. If they have whole beans one on sale, I would buy it again.

Amazon branded coffee... It's this where they don't give bathroom breaks to the people picking or roasting the beans?

Link? Their website doesn't have a store and it's much higher on Amazon.

Damn! The thing is, unless you're a batista that may get sour past its "best used" date :/.

Depends on your use, for sure. We go through about 2.5 lbs per week, or a 10 pounder per month.

Most beans you'd get off Amazon have been sitting for several months by the time you get them, so you're still ahead with the 10lbs.

You do have to keep an eye on which origins are higher or lower in price, compared to historic averages. Brazil had been the cheapest, now it's about in the middle. So we tried El Salvador. Not as good, so we'll either go back to Brazil or try the Colombian again.

In a 10 lb only. Nobody buys that much coffee for residential use. 2 lbs start at $9/lb.
