250-nits, 45% NTSC display and that abysmal battery size.

You can find other much better options at this price range.

Any good (brand new) alternatives to this at the moment?

If you strictly want to limit it to 15.6" then these are just the current/recent deals. You'll find more if you look around and better ones come live from time to time.

Could this handle light video editing? Files might be big but I'm trying to find a laptop I can take with me to attempt to edit videos. I dont know much about laptops.

I bought this last time it was on sale.

Wouldn't recommend it.

It is pretty slow (28 seconds sleep to start menu), heats up really quickly (104°f on the bottom after 20 minutes of mild internet browsing), and the battery life leaves much to be desired. Battery went from 100% to 11% after a one hour video call.

Screen is pretty dim, as someone else commented.

Also the MSI system manager that comes preinstalled and reinstalls itself after you get rid of it is VERY obnoxious.
